Easter - how do you intend to ceiebrate?

We usually have a big family gathering at ours with Easter hunt for the children. Obviously that can’t happen so it will be just me and OH. I have Easter eggs for my grandchildren but I take it I can’t go and see my own children/grandchildren as it’s not essential? I’m happy to follow the rules just hope that everyone else is doing the same. I’m not in the risky age bracket had my kids fairy young but I am doing the right thing and isolating. So Easter will be some seafood and a good wine and some board games for us - what are your plans?

Ly, I'm so sorry to hear your news.

There's "Just like" in it - it Is the loss of a family member.

My thoughts are with you, and yours, in this difficult time.

South Australia's restrictions are slightly less onerous than some other states. We are still allowed out to our local beaches etc. for excercise and fishing is still allowed. So me and the missus will probably go to one of our local isolated beaches for easter eggs, drinkypoos and a spot of fishing. You can spend all day at some of the beaches and not see another person.

The rest of the weekend will be spent working on a cottage I,m renovating and listing stuff on ebay.

Yesterday had the best moon phases and tides, so went fishing. A handful of other anglers spread along the beach, all practicing their social distancing. Caught a single nice Salmon, so fish and chips for dinner last night.

Unfortunately now the work on the cottage begins for the rest of the weekend. Applying exterior cladding boards........boring !

Not much "celebration" of Easter happening here. The Virus has taken over. Worst Easter ever, for me.

It's just no fun without the kids.

Back in the day, we used to colour eggs, make up easter baskets for each child. Schools used to have Easter Bonnet parades.

Easter Sunday, we used to have the family over for a breakfast and hot cross buns, and hide chocolate eggs for the kiddies to hunt, Such fun!

Now? Cop fines if you have more than 2 ppl in a "gathering".

Worse than the worst fascism in Europe, back in the day.

Can't even drive around in your own car, not breathing on anybody.

Gas is all you've got. Hot air, that's you.

Visit my Sister. Call in the chook farm, buy some eggs. Visit our sister in the nursing home. Have lunch maybe with her son,my nephew.

Go to the club, have lunch, play the pokies for a while.

Generally get out and enjoy the Easter break.

You?
