LOL, I came to Australia in 1958 from a decimal using country and had to learn all about pounds, shillings and pence.
Once I was comfortable to use Australian money, the powers that be made the change to decimal counting and measurements.
Was I getting confused???? My word, I was.
It was hard enough to learn a new language, but re-learning mathematics really gave me the pips.
Like Stawka, I think the new five Dollar note is ugly.

They do look like something seen under a microscope.
And the colours make it look more like a lolly wrapper than legal currency.
