Gillard Softly Admonished Sattler On Gay Jibe

How nice was she when asked the most offensive question by the Fairfax hack Sattler.

She should have slapped him & walked out but no, she gently chided him.

No shock jock or outrage was seen, no follow up on every news outlet lambasting this cretin, nothing.

So  mock outrage for one side & barely a lifted eyebrow for the left hacks.

I think a couple of you need to Google The word dignity, as it is clearly not a word in your lexicon. Or maybe you need someone to gently and patiently explain it to you.

I am just appalled that she is being treated as a villain in this. Don't liberal supporters have any self respect or decency??

All you have to do is listen to her tone in that interview and listen to the way she handled him to appreciate that she was spot on. 

Her voice went from friendly to icy as soon as he asked the question: "Can I test it (the rumours) out?". And as he continued to make an idiot of himself, she put him in his place with intelligence and dignity.

Should she have punched him? Yelled at him? Should she have run for the door? This may be Abbotts style, but it's not the behaviour I would want to see in a PM.

And why on earth is anyone even contemplating how she should have handled it? 

The focus of this fiasco should be wholly and solely on sexism in our media and in our parliament.

I don't understand why anyone would ask a question like that.....

First of all, who cares?

why do they care?

why is it their business?

what difference does it make either way?

I wouldn't ask my best friends, in private, a question like that...

not my business, makes no difference to me anyway.....

It amuses me that anyone is interested in a person's sexual preferences, unless you are a potential partner.

According to some posts she just can't win.  How on earth could anyone turn this 

back on her?   I'm no great fan of her but my respect rose a lot as she handled

it with such dignity.
