If you listened to Robina Courtin carefully, (I know she was going a bit fast) she did say there were just as many restrictions regarding sexual life in Buddhist text, however Buddhist approach is more realistic.
Didn't you recently say that you respected trbag because he followed the Bible teachings as they should be? that he was a true Christian?
You're not being consistent with your criticism. Can you tell me why that is?
THe majority of CHristians have no idea what's written in the bible and those that have rejects certain teachings or rules in it. So they're not really true Christians. It's like you saying you're playing basketball but don't actually follow the rules in the rule book.
Why are you finding holes to attack in buddhist??
Tell me where Buddhist enforce their views on others??? Tell me how they impinge on government legislation?

I think that you're forgetting form where our legislation and laws came, how a democracy works and what it takes to change the Constitution. They can't legislate against the Constitution, and a referendum is decided by the majority - a Christian majority who's values and beliefs, no matter how antiquated others may see them, reflect what they want in a legal system - what they value.
It's the people talking Bob - that's what a democracy is! And the majority of the people are heavily influenced by hundreds and thousands of years of intrinsic morals and values ingrained in them from the very roots of Christianity.

I soooo wish I either knew how to do that, or at least had the patience to do it how I suspect it's done...

It it good to see Bob that you have a balanced view on Biblical and Quranic teachings. I was under the impression that you were completely against them and that they had no place in our society.
Sorry, I dont know what you mean by "international level" ??? Did what on an international level?? Are you referring to Papal Mass which is attended by thousands in St Peter's Square? That would be because there is no venue large enough to accommodate such large number of people. No one is forced to attend and no one is forced to watch the telecasts. These days people have a choice of 100's of different channels and radio stations.
Is that what you're talking about ???
