The virus moves because people move it.
If people stop moving the virus dies.
That's all there is to it.
Which is why we are at the stage we are now because people refuse to stop moving, ships were passengers
allowed in and further cases would come from flights coming in and they have to self isolate but need to get
home first and get supplies so will be active before they can isolate.

Finally:
NSW Police is urging the families and friends of travellers returning to Sydney International Airport from 6am on Sunday 29 March 2020 not to come to the airport to greet those travellers as they will not be able to see them or physically communicate with them upon their arrival.
The travellers will be processed discreetly before being taken to their nominated hotels. They will then be able to get in touch with family and friends.
There are no areas in the Sydney International Airport in which family and friends will be able to see the returned travellers or make contact with them.
We understand this is unprecedented, but it is a vital step in trying to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Yes it is a vital step, and a good one.

I beg to differ. In a lot of cases your lack of grammatical correctness makes it difficult to understand what you are trying to convey.

Saw those reports and thought the same as you.
You know what is getting me though? The government is picking up the tab!!!
I think forcibly quarantining arrivals in hotels is a fabulous idea, gives the hotels some income in a time when they would be practically empty.
I don't believe they should necessarily be 5 star either. I think 3 star with food delivered would be fine.
They are forgetting that some people were on ships, locked in tiny inside cabins with 4 people, so a hotel room with TV and meals and a window is not too bad in comparison.
I would go further and say that all new arrivals should be paying for their own quarantine, as is happening in other countries.
If they qualify for centrelink, then some assistance but otherwise, pay their own way.
We have a lot of unemployed and it is going to get worse, the government should be saving money for where it will be needed most. And paying for hotels for travellers isn't it.
Converted Shipping containers on ninety mile beach (VIC) would have been a healthier alternate , surf , sand , sunshine , nature and fishing - motels on news have sealed windows - no fresh air , no moving air , dust build up , any potentially airborne viral bugs i suspect can hitch a ride on the dust , possibly move room to room via air ventilation system , also no exercise machines , need movement for health and the working the cellular sludge removal system ( lymphatic system)

FGS!
Are we in a school class here, where we need to use correct grammar and spelling to have our comments accepted!?

Supermarket's are hiring - is a matter of adapting to a more local town/suburb online shopping experience with local deliveries in almost real-time , if the retail sector down to sole trader shops wake up
on 29-03-2020 04:11 PM
Oh homework - homework - homework.
From Woolworths site :
Sorry, our Delivery service is currently suspended in your area until further notice unless you are one of our most vulnerable customers and part of our Priority assistance service. Please be assured that our supermarkets remain open. Our Customer Care Team is also experiencing a high volume of calls and wait times are long. We are continuing to prioritise delivery windows for our most vulnerable customers.
Hiring to stock the shelves perhaps.
What does ' if the retail sector down to sole trader shops wake up ' mean.
Sorry need the less ' concise ' - meaning

Every motel or hotel has a TV screen. How about just screening exercise videos the people can move along to? perhaps a series of them at different levels.
It's a bit much to expect an exercise machine in every room.
The rest of us are not getting that and people in flats won't be much better off if we go into lockdown.
