After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

BBL have to adjust the focus on my eyes (photo thread), and don the writer's cap and finish my dose of caffeine.

Re: My day

Good morning everyone.

I love that David Austin Rose bushie and pink is my favourite colour.

On Wednesdays I walk into town, have coffee at GJ and read the mags while my OH drives the truck all day for Vinnies.

Enjoy your day ...

Re: My day

Well, I'm so disappointed.

My wait for twelve months for a flower on the water iris has come ......and now gone.  3 days. pfffft. Oh well, the spiky leaves are a good visual balance with the rounder water lily leaves.  Now I impatiently await the lily flowers.

Pimpys post has confirmed the identification of the wattle birds that have arrived here within the past couple of weeks.

They beat even the kookaburras with their beeping-like chatter.  I've seen them described as the alarm clock for the start of a day.  I have an old square concrete farm trough that they wash in of an afternoon after pushing the noisy mynahs aside.  Their flying skills are remarkable.  Dive bombing each other and wrestling mid-air in play; then off to feast upon the various nectars that are here.

Re: My day

Morning all,

I'm giving my bathtub to the builder he's on property and apparently his wife has tubs with water for the wildlife, vegetable seedling and the like so good it will be going to good use.

Today will be a bit of a clean up day, I want to empty the vanity unit take down the rails in the bathroom and toilet (they were added for the elderly lady who lived here when the place was built) I also want to see if I can get a can of spray paint for the exhaust fan cover.

Yesterday I ordered a double towel rail, a double tumbler tooth brush holder, a toilet roll holder, and a hand towel ring all in chrome. I also bought a beautiful Lene Bjerre Portia soap dispenser for the vanity. Now i'm looking for a Chrome toilet brush holder and toilet roll caddy.

We will need to pick up a few other bits and pieces once the builder starts. Grout, brackets for the wall hung vanity order the skip and no doubt there will be other stuff as well.
