I have a young guy coming today to finish the gyprocking in the kitchen, small amount above the range hood and the cornice................. he was coming tomorrow morning but he can't do his outdoor jobs today.............. so lucky I am home!
Just did the school run, son in law came to charge the mobiles and check for any damage here as I am too chicken to check for myself! lost a couple of branches and palm fronds but all good apart from the flooding.

I was watching the havoc on the news this morning az it must have been frightening. The noise of large hail wacking against window's is terrifying.

I love that fishpond! One day, I'll have one inmy backyard. Hmmm.. I might start up my fishpond pot in the meantime.
Nics, I used to volunteer at an indigenous plant nursery and they loathed agapanthus. I was too much of a coward to say that I quite like my agapanthus. lol. I have both white and blue as well as miniature ones. If the flowers are removed before they go to seed, then they are not that much of a problem to the wider environment.
I used to have a huge purple bouganvillia that had entwined itself through trees. The wall of colour was quite pretty. It has since been cut down but is beginning to sprout again. I'm not sureif I'll be keeping it or getting rid of it.
Freddie, I see that the Princess has been living up to her name. I'm glad that the day turned out well.
DEB, I'll have a cuppa, if you don't mind.
I've forgotten what the rest of the posts that I read said! lol
The toenail is a lovely shade of purple today but doesn't hurt as much as yesterday, nowever, I moved the wrong way and now my sciatica is playing up. I have a friend coming over tomorrow night - my home has become a haven. My youngest said that it has that "mum feel" again - so today, I will be tidying up as much as I can and stocking up on champagne and snacks.Or, I'll rest my back and do it all tomorrow. Coffee first.

Hi Bluey
Something i've been meaning to ask all our rose growers have your roses been attacked by bee cutters? Mine get attack by both the bee cutters and aphids, the aphids as the new little red leaves appear, then the bee cutters as the leaves are lush and looking healthy.

When I used to have roses - about a hundred years ago - I used to spray them with a garlic spray.
Oh, I almost forgot! Only 24 days....

Waves to BC 🙂
Pleased your toe is on the mend, can imagine how painful it would be, ouch!
Sounds like things are starting to come together for you BC, hopefully next year will be "your" year, it's seems to be heading that way 🙂
I can't plant another bougainvillea here, the frost would kill it 😞
Freddie I havent had any prob with my roses, I did get quite a bit of black spot on them at my last house.
I have some minature aggys planted, I grabbed them out of the garden before I left, so I wont know what colour they are until the flower. I also noticed some daylilys have appeared, which was a lovely surprised as I had totally forgotten I had planted them, so no idea what colours they will be either.
Gorgeous day here atm and promises to be great for the weekend as well

There's a picture if you scroll down showing the circle the left bee cutter makes in the rose leaf, they make quite a mess of the leaf.

hahahaha Freddie, I can totally empathize with your excitement at a new toilet.
I still get a thrill out of flushing my inside toilets!
Hello Blue, dare I ask what is 24 days?
I have a little fish tank inside but the dang goldfish keeping pulling apart the weed I put in their to make it pretty. The weed then gets sucked in to the over head filter which blocks it up which cause the water to overflow and leak all over the timber cabinet. SO I'm thinking a big pot outside for them might be the go.
