After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Having read that, why did it take the police 24 years?
Not a very comprenhensive investigation at the time (not many leads) and then ended up on the too hard shelf. Until the high school teacher/60 Minutes brought it back into the news last year.
Possibility the murderer could have been someone off a boat and only in the town a short time...

Comprehensive! Laughable really. The mayor's statement wasn't taken
until 3 years later. I think the police may have dropped the ball early in the
investigation, by the looks of it.
Will be interesting to see just what evidence they now have

Hello Dayers!
Still alive.... it hasn't stopped raining pretty well since I arrived here
Yep - the removalists were unloading in the wet...
We have also copped the wind / storms, but thankfully no damage, apart from flooding, near here as yet. Hopefully the worst is over, but we just had big rumbles of thunder and now it is POURING yet again
*sigh*
I finally almost have a kitchen! Waiting on the sparky, plumber and plastering to be done, but I do have cupboards and now a bench top. I'll do pics when I can find my camera.......
Glad everyone has made it through relatively unscathed

Good morning, hoping things has settled down a little for those affected by the shocking weather of the past few days.
B3 what a dreadful time to have to move house and try to get everything organised. Will look forward to seeing your pics when you have the time to post them.

Great that things are starting to happen B3 🙂 Moving house is the pitts at the best of times, witoit having foul weather to contend with as well
DEB I hope everything is alright with you up the CC, I saw that Wyong area has been declared a disaster area, so hoping you are going ok.

Yep, it sure is muddy. (Not my pic)
Squelchy here. Gum boot territory. Planning for the cleanup of the yard today. Will bundle most of the debris and put on the verge. Apparently, Council will be doing a pickup of Greenstuff within the next week.
But golly, the neighbours to the rear and all the way to Lakedge are still without power! That's three nights. Major food spoilage. Bored kids learning card games, dominoes, etc. No TV. Bored adults? I wonder if there will be a baby boom in January!
Bushie, reports of roads right around the perimeter of Tuggerah Lake being inundated still - from Long Jetty to Chittaway Point.
A few more trees on neighbouring properties have been dropping branches since the wind and rain stopped - must have been weakened.
b3 even though the move and kitchen have had their moments, it won't be long before you will be "settled".

Good morning Dayers ..... ![]()
Glad to know everyone is safe and unharmed from the shocking storms up that way. Have been watching the live satellite radar and it looked dreadful. What a mess. Those poor people who have died as a result.
Stay safe everyone, and hope the work you now have to do to clean up your yards and properties does not take too long ((((((( hugs ))))))).
