My day

Did come in handy when someone helped themselves to freshly painted flyscreens drying at the end of the drive. Someone took one out of four.

Didn't blow away or anything, checked Everywhere. Gone in 20 minutes.

Sheese some people will pinch anything Amber.

Did I mention that when we finally arrived home, the security door wouldn't unlock and we didnt take the keys to the other front door. Luckily the bedroom window was open, so up on a chair I went and through the window, legs going everywhere, hope no one was across the road taking pics lol lol

Hope the neighbours recognised you if you were seen ๐Ÿ™‚

If it becomes a habit over summer you will need to wear distinctive "this is Bushie!" Gear.

'Night everyone, off to work ๐Ÿ™‚

Little advice please.........

Sweet pea's are easy to grow aren't they ?

I am a black thumb, but love the colour and smell of flowers, and I need something fairly 'user friendly' LOL

I am in Qld on Sunny Coast - too hot do you think for SPeas ??

Evening. Wow some wonderful green thumbs here.

Yes some will steal anything. We put our old lawn mower out ready to take to the tip. Went inside to grab car keys, came back and it was gone. Lol. Saved me a trip.

Went for a drive with a friend today. Was a nice change.

Freddie, the Sicilian is quite nice - I'm not a fan of the communal tables though. Our DD won us a voucher for there on the radio when they first opened, and we thought the food was OK - but  I prefer the indian place in the old pub!

Bad night with asthma, and then a hot humid day Smiley Sad My aircon went on early and stayed on late! The poor dogs have not had a proper walk for 2 days now, I'm hoping to get up before the heat tomorrow and take them (asthma permitting) That is one thing OH will NOT do - walk the furries.

I take my hat off to anyone who can lose weight - I try but have hovered around the same mark for about 4 years now. I think the only way I could lose it was not to even LOOK at food! Smiley Wink And if anyone I know is losing weight, it seems that their fat molecules waft on over my way and I pick them up!

Love the sweet peas - I have never done any good with them but I think it's because I plant too late?

And LOVE that neat and tidy garden! I have weird home made fences everywhere to try to keep a certain dog out - he loves eating strawberries, sweet potato, tomatoes and cucumbers right of the plants (or out of the ground)

*sigh*

Lyndal I'm supposing hubby is self employed to be doing those hours.  Or is it contractual?   (Tell me to go jump if you'd prefer not  to share that info).  Hope he gets weekends off.

Yes Deb, OH is a self employed sub contract courier.....been doing it for 25 years now and is currently with StarTrack.

The hours are very long but if he wants to work at all he has to sign the contract and do the work as required.

The pay is too good to give this contract up and go to another company where he would not get guaranteed work.

After 12 years with AaE (now called StarTrack) and the previous 8 years as outside hire for AaE he does have some seniority.....most couriers are lucky to stay 5 years with any one company.

Knowing how courier companies work I do get a bit hot under the collar when I see courier bashing on the trading boards.  There are some companuies that I would not touch with a barge pole as a customer and I don't hesitate to say which ones they are.  And there are some that I would not work for in a fit either.

I was a subby for 10 years...back in the dark ages when life was quieter.....I could not hack it now.  Eldest daughter started as a courier on a motor scooter at the age of 17...is currently the State Transport manager for a large International Transport and Logistics company....28 years in the industry.

I think you could say we as a family have a pretty good understanding of how it all works.

Morning all, Bushy you are first this morning Smiley Surprised

Got home from shower and shopping last night, had a quick snack and dropped in and read but I was so tired I couldn't remember what I read, so forgive me if I missed something I was asked. I was asleep by about 9ish which isn't me, I might add I still feel tired. Smiley Embarassed

B3 you speaking of your asthma we are both complaining about sinus, headaches sneezing I guess the jack hammer here doesn't help.

Today, rubbish from the reno in the trailer to the tip pick up the shower screen on the way back, I hope, water proof and line the bathroom walls concrete and level the bathroom floor and hopefully Monday start the tiling.

Have a great day one and all.
