Agree with you 100% Freddie, Nic Nacs deserves the best xx

Meanwhile, the bush ... come to think of it, it doesn't look quite so "thriving" in the photograph does it ...  Smiley Sad, in fact, it looks "ill".   Some of those leaves since yesterday are going an awful beige colour in the middle.  Oh dear, is this the end of it?  Seems only the flowers below are now sort of okay.

Tas, one of my gardenia plants had black spot. This article covers it nicely

As Deb says, cut off the affected bits, throw them away, give it a spray and keep an eye on it.

Thanks amber xx

Looks like everyone has come to the same conclusion, it is a nasty fungul thing.   We'll certainly sort it out tomorrow and get started on the treatment following the instructions carefully.

If that doesn't work and it continues, we'll pull the whole thing out, treat the soil and start again, maybe with some nice small flowers like violas, petunias or something similar.

I won't Bushie, I promise .... we'll do everything we can to save it first.  It's a big learning curve as gardening hasn't exactly been our forte until now ... these days though, we are enjoying it immensely, bit by bit.  Long way to go , but it's worth it xx
