Sounds delightful DEB ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the sound of the birds in the morning, I often sit out on the from the verandah and listen to the heralding the day.

Smiley LOL

I hope the future Princess Royal  (Charlotte Elizabeth Caroline Diana) sits a bit more ladylike.

And that her ears will accommodate less dogged millinery style than her second-cousins; otherwise turbans may become fashionable.

Presenting:

Charlene wearing a delicious red-raw-meat coloured turban clasped with a bejewelled array of encapsulated heart/worm tabs.

Simply marvellous.  Designer of course, is El Barko.

My day

Good morning everyone ... xxx

Love the dogs with the hats ...  Smiley Very Happy

Bushie, Charlotte is such a beautiful dog with a face of character and a fun personality.

The days should be getting shorter now but in this house, it really does feel they are getting longer, not enough hours in the day and all that!

Our whole weekend was spent swapping certain sets of party lights from the sunroom to the music room and vice versa, so that meant running between rooms with whole armies of cup hooks, drills, screwdrivers, stepladders and other implements of not so very helpful origin ... sigh!   We did get it finished though and we're satisfied that it makes an interesting difference.

Then it was time to go really berserk and move the sofa bed from the lounge back to the sunroom.   It wasn't that long ago since we moved it from the music room to the lounge, so it's a well travelled piece of furniture.

What next?  Watch this space, but most likely much heresy and kitchen fright as we are now threatening to paint the original wooden cupboard doors with a high gloss white paint, then put new handles on them to match.

Hope you are all doing well and keeping busy, warm and happy ..... Heart

My day

Tas, I feel tired just reading that! I wish that I could be that productive.

Charlotte is a beautiful looking dog [ and that one in the turban is kinda cute, too.]

I thought that I would be taking my dog to the vet today, but, fortunately, she is almost back to normal. Yesterday, I heard this unearthly sound, something that I hadn't heard before. It took me a few seconds or so before I realised that it was coming from my Lily. I raced outside and found her panicking and sqealing near the aviary. She somehome managed to get her head behind the aviary and then get her collar caught on a protruding bolt. I undid her collar and she went inside the house. She seemed fine until later on. She could barely walk on her left side, wasn't interested in food [most  unusual for a Lab x] and looked to be in a daze. Around 2am, she wanted to go outside and was not interested in coming back inside. I was exhausted so left her to it and went back to bed.

When I woke up, I was a bit apprehensive as to what I would find but she seems fine, a little bit stiff and not her usual bouncy self, but otherwise she seems fine, sort of. She probably strained some muscles and perhaps  gave herself a bit of concussion. She's eaten and is now soaking up the sun in the lounge room. I;ll keep a close eye on her but I am hoping that she'll be okay.

Once she wakes up, I'll check her over and take her to the vet if I'm not happy with her progress. Poor old girl.

Oh poor Lily ....  Smiley Sad

Perhaps she is just in a bit of shock from the experience Bluecat?  Not to mention her pride being rather ruffled I suspect.

Hopefully she is fine and will just need a day or two to get over the whole incident xxx

Miss Charlotte is quite pleased ๐Ÿ™‚  She is referred to as Sharli NOT Charlie

Shocker of a day, high wind, pouring rain, pleased we did the shopping yesterday. I am making a huge batch of chicken and corn soup, doing a bit of housework and not much else.

Looking forward to my friends arriving tomorrow, they have a fair way to drive, so I hope the weather is kind to them.

BC how is Lily this morning?
