I was at my crony best this morning. We got back from our week away to find the builder had told the tiler the wrong thing and the tiling in our new bathroom was wrong. After much heming and hewing they agreed to pull up the wrong row and do it again.

I don't think I'm very popular around here at the moment. I've been hiding out at the other end of the house ever since 😄

Reminds me of getting my bathroom done.

Chose a cross between terra cotta & red stone tiles for the floor & tawny coloured tiles with fossil thingys implanted - all the way to the ceiling,

Tiler left apprentice to do the grouting.

A huge bag of tawny grout & a smaller bag of redy grout.

Walked past as he was doing the walls - geez looked like stigmata.

Was horrified - thought it would stain the tiles it was so bad.

The kid didn't even find the colour strange.

Wonder if he finished his apprenticeship as when I rang the tiler to get his b*um back here - he went on to explain the last job the kid had done,

Got a phone call from that customer asking him to come have a look at the finished job after the apprentice left.

The door of the room was open so he didn't tile behind it.

DAH.
