Without Predudice:
It seems there is a need for an independent 'as titled' thread.
Can we share, say what we would like to say, think what we want to think, even be nice to each other (optional)
(Without religion or politics) (please)(pretty please).
Think I come under the Old Crone bit.

Have a good day with the artistes, Tas.
Every time I think of the Code of Silence, the hilarious Maxwell Smart comes to mind.

Change of plans for me. No paintbrush or fluffy animals this year.
A h-u-g-e branch fell yesterday. Missed the shed by a leaf width.
Happy Easter to everyone

Oh no! Thank goodness it missed the shed, that could have been a miserable disaster to rebuild.
Take care with that chainsaw Lloyds xx

The chainsaw is in the shed!!!!
Seriously, it's too big a job for me. Help will arrive. So big a job, that it will be paid help I'm afraid. And the whole tree will need to go.
Just have to get Council's permission for the approx 40-50metre tall gum. It's dangerously close to 2 neighbouring houses.
Who plants trees that grow to massive sizes in suburbia? They should be banned from nurseries which sell to the general public.

Who plants trees that grow to a massive size in the suburbs?
My neighbours, for a start.
When I moved in here 45 years ago the next door neighbours had planted two gum tree saplings...one on either side of the gate post.
They were only up to my shoulder then.
I was not too happy about it but thought they would remove them within a few years.....after all, they were market gardeners and I stupidly thought they knew what they were doing in the garden.
Over the years some odd things happened to the trees.....they survived poisoning, ring barking and a few other mysterious "accidents" until finally one gave up the fight.
The other tree ia alive and well and absolutely terrifies me every time a strong southerly wind blows. The tree is on the southerly side of my property and dispite being half way across their property the tree has grown so tall that it will wipe out my bedroon if it falls our way. The canopy is huge and the trunk has a definite lean toward my property.
When the wind blows we end up with a carpet of gumleaves and gum nuts everywhere....and their lawn is pristine because the tree is so tall that wind blows the debris onto our lawn before it can land on theirs.

Good afternoon!
Hope everyone has had a wonderful easter, didn't eat too much chocolate and generally had a good few days break?
Here, it was noisy, chaotic, super busy and people everywhere from "Good" Friday morning until last night. Five days of mega chatter-boxes, much laughter, finger food, meals and more meals and everyone helping. They were finally gone by midnight last night and now I miss them, 17 comrades! .... Quilters are so boisterous!
Mr. Tas disappeared into his man cave and was happy to just get on with his projects for the house, he thought the chatter level was too high, but he still came back into the house at exactly the right time for lunches and dinners, bless him ...
So now, we can start getting ready for Christmas ...
