Parliament cancelled or delayed? Major parties trade insults ahead of final sitting weeks

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-21/turnbull-insists-parliament-delayed-not-cancelled/9174400

I really do think malcolm should take his week off to do a little thinking.

think about who he has advising him for a start, with friends like whoever it is he doesnt need enemys.

does he really think the voting public are going to buy the whole shutting down parliment idea as being ok?

sure diehard govt supporters will see nothing wrong but swinging voters in those seats he needs to be in power?

next news poll will be interesting.

he really does lurch from one terrible idea to the next.

i remember when julia and kevin were in the hot seat how i hoped one day the shoe would be on the other foot, didnt ever think it would be so soon.

"When a Prime Minister cancels a parliamentary week for no apparently good reason, there is usually a very pressing concealed reason.

Try the very survival of the Turnbull government."

http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-opinion/why-would-malcolm-turnbull-cancel-parliamen...

The SMH news article goes on to say:

"Should just a few extra dual citizens be revealed, the government wouldn't have the numbers to withstand a parliamentary assault from the opposition (assuming the opposition didn't also produce several dual citizens of its own).

The opposition could then win a vote of no confidence in the government....and the Prime Minister would have to visit the Governor-General and request an election be held forthwith.

But if the House's penultimate sitting was cancelled, leaving only one week before the end of the year, as Turnbull has now managed?

Why, the December 1 citizenship timetable wouldn't be agreed. It would be pushed out till 8pm on Tuesday, December 5, at the earliest. The opposition, thus, would have only two days before the end of the parliamentary year to try to bring down the government."

So, yet again we can't believe what the govt (Mr Turnbull) is saying as his stated reasons appear not to reflect reality. (that's a diplomatic way of saying 'He's lying'.

Malcolm has Pinochio syndrome.  Just watch, whenever he tells a big fat porky, he rubs his nose, checking that it has not grown any.
