A couple of politicians that I know.

Yes, I saw some of it.

It's uncanny how the old expression goes "Don't trust anyone with small beady eyes"

I have studied liars in criminal cases and find more than approx 80% have small eyes that don't appear trustworthy.

Whether it's our perception, preconceived ideas or whether guilty feelings alter our appearance, or possibly the genetic makeup causing certain behaviour, it's interesting.

Belle Gibson appears to show signs of insecurities to the point of craving attention combined with delusions, caused by the inadequately achieved princess syndrome and lack of love of earlier years.

Yet it comes back to the eyes and her eyes don't have any life in them. As though there is no where there.

When I was in the navy, I encountered one in my division.......we called him the "Commander", and he wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on the fundament.  Once he even requested early liberty so he could travel down from Boston to New York City, to confer with his stock broker.........

3 years after I thought I had seen the last of him, he showed up at my door.  We were all going to play softball, but his "football injury" made him sit out.

I know several. Society has been able to round them up and house them. Every federal and state MP is a pathological liar. The two territories, the ACT and the NT, have pathological liars serving as elected representatives. Many visiting overseas politicians who observe the workings of our House of Reps and Senate leave our shores shaking their heads in disbelief.

I know several. Society has been able to round them up and house them. Every federal and state MP is a pathological liar. The two territories, the ACT and the NT, have pathological liars serving as elected representatives. I think you are confusing the terms liar and pathological liar. According to Google: Pathological lying can be described as a habituation of lying. It is when an individual consistently lies for no personal gain.(italics mine) The lies are commonly transparent and often seem rather pointless.

When politicians lie it is always for personal (i.e. political) gain Their lies may be transparent, but they are never pointless.

That would depend on whether her lies were driven by a callous desire to profit from them or an overwhelming psychological need for attention and aproval. Not knoing the woman or having access to her medical history I am not in a position to judge.

I knew a person who claimed that they were a pathological liar, but I was never sure whether they were being honest with me or not.
