It says in the link that he had vowed to never enter politics again, but some time ago I heard him say that he had left politics too early.
Anyway, he's always been one of my favourite pollies.

Some people will believe anything. Beattie has always had a good marriage, and would have better taste IMO.

There are horrific mistakes in every hospital in every country. Someone is premier or prime minister or president at the time. Is it their fault?

Good grief, Beattie looks older and much thinner. He makes me want to feed him roast meat, potatoes, yorkshire puddings and gravy. Followed by sherry trifle with lots of whipped cream.

I live in Bundaberg.. I know what happened and I know who is responsible...
Beattie is ultimatly responsible for the failings of HIS ministers... it was under his watch that this happened.
