Please find another time for Protest

If you're fighting to protect people's lives, why not start by not risking the innocent lives of everyone elses. Find another time. I will have more respect for you. I was just saying the other day: Thank God that Australians aren't as crazy as Americans and we have at least some common sense not to choose this time to protest.

  White lives did always matter, no need to mention it.   I cannot believe that people do not understand the meaning of BLM.  It's just like if a fruitshop has a sign "We have Apples", do you also assume that means they have only apples?  No?

Obviously, the BLM means Black Lives ALSO Matter.   The movement was formed because disproportionately high number of black people get killed, and the perpetrators do not get convicted.  Remember the little boy who played in a park with TOY gun.  They just shot him.

In America, if you are black you will get stopped by police for walking down the street, or just driving a nice car, and you have to be careful not to make sudden move or you will be dead.

Well my point is you have to be a moron to choose a violent career criminal like George floyd as the best victim to demonstrate your cause. You have thousands of examples, choose some one else. It's like choosing George Pell as the poster child for unfair catholic media portrail.

Most of the marches were peaceful, but of course peaceful march does not make such interesting footage for the evening news.  Nor do the cops who joined the marchers.  Many of the looters were white, many of those arrested were linked to white supremacist groups.  It is complicated situation, and easy to judge from an armchair on the other side of the world, after watching 10 minutes news bulletin.

The protests here, in Australia, are another matter.  They just should not happen; for many reasons.  One is that indigenous people are in much higher danger of dying of COVID19, because they have high incidents of kidney disease and diabetes.  The indigenous communities were locked down and managed to avoid any infections.  That is likely now to change.

There were many people carrying signs saying ALL LIVES MATTER, and I saw some saying  Asian, Black, White lives matter.  This particular guy did lot more than just carry that sign.  He was abusive and aggressive towards the other people and the cops.

The peoples have had enough, what about the killing of that aussie woman? The American police force needs a complete overhaul & they been saying it for years!

She did not get shot because she was white; she got shot because 2 poorly trained rookies got startled when she walked to their car from back, and slapped the car with her hand, startling the trigger happy cops.  They both pulled their guns, one fired. 

That is very different scenario to the 9 minutes killing of handcuffed and not resisting George Floyd that the whole world watched.  It is totally irrelevant that he was a petty criminal with drug history.  He did not deserve to die.  The reason why his killing sparked such response was not because of what sort of person he was; that is NOT what it is about.  It is about 4 men who killed another human being in broad daylight, in front of witnesses filming it, and obviously did not think it will be a problem.  And there is no guarantee they will be actually punished.

All those who attended should be made to isolate for 14 days. Do they even stop to think the that their actions will cost many more lives when we have a massive Coronavirus outbreak. Not to mention the country will be broke.  I think we will be in total lockdown again very soon.
