Please find another time for Protest

If you're fighting to protect people's lives, why not start by not risking the innocent lives of everyone elses. Find another time. I will have more respect for you. I was just saying the other day: Thank God that Australians aren't as crazy as Americans and we have at least some common sense not to choose this time to protest.

Maybe so. But the office kneeling on Floyd's neck may have been unaware of FLoyd's  medical condition.

It should not have ended in death. I see it as a restrictive measure gone wrong.

So I don't see it as a "execution style" arrest, or "murder". As BLM protesters would have it.

Manslaughter, at best.

George Floyd's medical condition was irrelevant.

I disagree. If he had not had the underlying issues, he may have survived

An independent autopsy - concluded - asphyxiation.

The man was cuffed - put to the ground - his neck knelt on by an officer with his hands in his pockets - for 8 minutes & 46 seconds.

It was 2nd degree murder - ie - intent.

I recall a white boy was put in the same postion by police (read it somewhere) as Floyd and died, did he have underlying conditions too??

Don't know.

Any details? Link,maybe?

Read it somewhere...sheesh...

google Tony Timpa, do keep up, perhaps Floyd's killer should have kept up with the times too 😛

Signatures suck.

Yeah I read that on FB as well.

Still no link?

Guess it's up to me,then:

I'm thinking it's standard police prodecure in restraining suspects. Not all suspects react the same, with all the drugs and whatnot they're taking. Police, in restraining offenders, can't be expected to make a full medical assesment before they act.

Re: Please find another time for Protest

What on earth is it you don't understand.

They have been ' restrained ' - full stop.

LOL - there are 4 of you - 1 of them.

Having been restrained - put them in the car - to the station.

Then get - a charge - evidence - etc etc etc.

Not ' murder ' on the street.

Lol.. so if you read it somewhere too what do you need a link for?!?!?

Obviously having a suspect pinned to the ground on their stomach with a twist in the neck isn't an ideal method of restraint

If those cops haven't figured that out by now then they shouldn't have a badge

Indeed - I was moore more into content.

Do you think that Michael Moore lacks credibility?  If so then ..... Yeah, he does on occasion tend to sensationalise a bit, but his documentaries, "Capitalism a Love Story" and "Sicko" are well reviewed and great expose examples of what is blatantly wrong.

FYI, I'm not a fan of "Bowling for Columbine".

So if Caucasian Americans are getting it bad then where do African Americans sit in all of this ?

Yeah.. i get it, racism is alive and well, a nobel thing to protest against if it's done in a "safe" manner! but my criticism goes beyond that, seems they'll give anybody a police badge in america, love the place.. but I would hate to live there

It's the common requirement, yes. You and I have been around the traps long enough to know that, lol.

Just your word (or mine) is not good enough.
