If you're fighting to protect people's lives, why not start by not risking the innocent lives of everyone elses. Find another time. I will have more respect for you. I was just saying the other day: Thank God that Australians aren't as crazy as Americans and we have at least some common sense not to choose this time to protest.

The protesters are the main suspects because they are the ones who are amassing in large numbers. And they very obviously don't give a damn.

Doesn't matter how many of them have it by protesting they have basically said to everyone else that they aren't
going to obey the restrictions and others would then follow suit and not obey the restrictions.
That's were the spikes could also end up coming from because the protests are seen as they are allowed to do it
so I'm going to do the same and don't care what others think.

That's not really the point.
While some people are cosy and safe out in the sticks, others like me live close to where protests are happening. I know beyond a doubt that people from my suburb attended and they shop at the same centre that I do. Now it's back to very safe distancing, watching people's behaviour etc. The stakes are high again because of irresponsible people who don't care. Of course some people are angry. The problem is the "facts" are unlikely to reveal how and why the spikes really occurred. Irrespective, those people nearby, not afar, have to hold their breath and hope again.

Hmmmm dont think the folk in my town feel "cosy and safe", so please dont make assumptions. NO ONE in Melb needs to go near a shopping centre, groceries etc can all be bought online ............... we " in the sticks" dont have that option

That's kinda the point. If your action risks the lives of everyone else. Good enough reason to assume blame.
