Re: R.I.P Tina Turner

Did you even comprehend this :

“I had not known that uncontrolled hypertension would worsen my renal disease and that I would kill my kidneys by giving up on controlling my blood pressure.

“I never would have replaced my medication by the homeopathic alternatives if I had had an idea how much was at stake for me.

“Thanks to my naivety I had ended up at the point where it was about life or death.”

Re: R.I.P Tina Turner

I forgot to add this to my post here

With anything medical, one should seek expert medical advice.  A friend of mine had blood pressure issues and he decided to go the natural route. He saw his doctor, told him what he was doing. It was his doctore who told him that his blood pressure had become lower and suggested he take his tablets once every two days and keep on with the natural oners.  His blood pressure was under control but  little low. I believe he lost some weight and went off the pharmaceutcal tablets all together.

With regard to the above, regular checking is necessary I believe and if the checks determine that the blood pressure is under control over a long perod of time then the excercise can be considered a success.

In all examples, the individual must make lifestyle changes.

Now back to Tina's music. I've always liked this song which was tucked away on the B side of a juke box record of hers

Some of Tina's B sides with Ike were great.

Re: R.I.P Tina Turner

Why would you put up links to her music with Ike?

The man put her through physical and mental abuse for years!

She didn't even go to his funeral.

This is not a personal thread for your music.

Well imastawka, I'm not going to ignore Tina Turner's 1960s and 1970s catalogue just because her ex Ike was a terrible husband and a brute.  She shone through back then and was the real star of the show! There were some fantastic songs she did in the 1960s and 1970s and many of her fans loved the stuff she put out then in that period. Those songs rock! It's all part of this great woman's legacy.
