Freddie, I reckon your unit cost more than my cottage.
Purchase price of twenty thousand, thirty all up including interest

She hasnt a clue what properties cost here, she makes it up as she goes

lyhargr considering the year in which Martin

purchased to the year we purchased the price would

definately compare.

P.S. I'm not in the habit of telling fibs or making up stories.

Did you say you live an hr or more from WW?

Did you also say there is no public transport what so ever

where you live?  Or were you referring to someone else's

predicament?

I was replying to this one Lyh.

There may be a bit of pension left over - given there was nothing on the shelves prior.

Re: Seniors hour

Ok folks *puts my stern hat on* Australians are known to come together and support each other when times are rough, not attack each other. Please guys, be kind to each other. Just keep one place that's kind and supportive, eh? The world around us is going crazy, can't we keep Sanctuary in here at least?

.........

OK are: the shopping thing, my parents are self funded retirees, I don't know if they have any cards, do they get to utilise that early shopping thing?

They haven't said to me that they've had trouble getting anything? Dad just toddles down to the corner shopping mall each morning - they have a supermarket there- should I be getting them somewhere to stock up?

How does it work, if I take them to the store, do they make me wait outside til my parents are finished shopping?

AFAIK - we're not experiencing any shortages where we live? We did the groceries two nights ago and had no trouble getting the usual stuff?

I really do wish I lived closer to those of you struggling to get out and to the store, between the kids and I, we'd love to help you out.

As for transport I know a few people get some community transport through NDIS.

Well things are freaking crazy here in Ballarat.
I went to Coles in town was only some really expensive milk and no butter at all.
So I went to the Sebastopol Coles and got the last two litre and had to buy a half kilo of butter because all of the quarter kilo packs were gone.
I've never seen that.
Didn't go past the toilet paper so don't know what's going on there

Woolies HQ have said it's from Tues to Friday. for a trial.

But you can get your pension payday changed to what suits you.

We changed ours to Wednesdays.

There were always too many getting their shopping done on Thursdays - Age/Invalid/Unemployed all at once.

Re: Seniors hour

Eggs are totally sold out on the shelves at our local woolies.

I've got a cpl dozen left from the chook farm, that's it.

Wish I'd got more last cpl weeks when I had the opportunity.

Re: Seniors hour

Please people if you have a pensioner near you ask them if they are OK and can do thier shopping.

Not every one has family to help, imagine being cut off from life because of your age, what have we become 😞
