They can make a payment arrangement to cover the fines.. which sensible people didn't receive.

Do you now believe what is written in the mainstream media?

                                               ------------------------------------------------------------------------

A payment arrangement is a good alternative to not making any. Some people can't even afford to make payment arrangements. I know people who live a life that outwardly represents success and happiness. This representation is very flimsy and depends on consistent employment and things running without a hitch. A fine can be destrutive. Some folks will financially recover some others may not.

Daniel Andrews has gone waaaaaaayyyyy over the top with his reaction to dealing with this situation. Brutality is what comes to mind. And as another eBay member has hinted on other threads, there may be a hidden agenda in play. Politicians, political annalists, economists, heads of welfare organizations are shaking their heads in disbelief and the terms "Chairman, Dictator Dan" now forever are cemented in history. There have now been suicide directly relating to his policy and self harm, alcohol and other substance abuse like one wouldn't believe. What this so-called "Labour premier" has implemented will have a negative flow-on effect for generations. A once proud political party who regained its credibility under the stewardship of Kevin Rudd, and was edging itself back on the road to serving the people again has now had its reputation smashed permanently and irreparably.

Imagine this if you will. A man and woman running a small business, working long hours, struggling to break even. They could see that in a few years time that breaking even would be possible and all things going well, they would be reaping some of the benefits for a handful of years before retirement. Well, I can tell you that many such businesses are now on the verge of closing down, following the others that have already gone bust! This has caused huge rifts in families. Marriages that were once solid, loving, nurturing, supportive relationships have now gone toxic. Both husbands and wives have been doing things they shouldn't be. Besides the alcohol and drug self medicating, some have taken to gambling as a distraction and a way to act out the fantasy of winning money to solve their problems. Domestic violence is on the increase. In betrayal, others have been seeking intimacy outside of their marriage as the soft target blame-game is easier than dealing with the situation created by this dictator.

The lock-downs were a combination of gross incompetence and undisclosed agendas. The disregard, disrespect for the common man is evident in the behavior of certain state premiers, but horrendously so with this monster Andrews.

I am a strong believer in the law and it must be obeyed even if implemented under an increasingly incompetent & totalitarian administration. But I also believe in the right of people to voice their concerns. The sacking of Gough Whitlam is one of Australia's dirtiest shame. There was no justification for such a move but it happened. Now we have a premier guilty of gross misconduct who is under investigation for corruption and he's give carte blanche to carry on destroying the state and lives.

So caged people suffering from cabin fever venture out and they cop a fine. Take a person with a horrid un-natural muzzle over their mouth with putrifying saliva and excess CO2 building up in their blood and feeling dizzy and nauseated. They tear the damned thing off and walk down the road breathing freely like they were made to. Unbelievably, this person gets a fine. A person so traumatized from an emotional and economical roller coaster through hell decides to protest during a lock-down and they get slammed with a fine.

A little understanding please!

I guess wherever this 'caged person' lives, they don't have medical exemptions that give them permission to not wear a mask in public

But let's not get facts get in the way of yet another rant

'I don't like it' is not a legitimate reason

nor is 'I don't want to'

How can people re-pay fines on time when the economy has been hammered and scrambled like a messy plate of scrambled eggs. Many people just don't have the money anyway. For heck sake, give the battlers a damned chance.

@4channel

ya know, the people who were put into hotel quarantine were returning travellers.  Hardly typical Aussie battlers.

Why should taxpayers be out of pocket for their return to Australia?

Where was this one pulled from??

Figures from the Coroners Court shows 384 Victorians have died by suicide since the start of 2021. At the same time last year, 436 people had taken their own lives, while in 2019 there were 418 suicide deaths.17 Aug 2021
