To all of those in QLD facing floods again good luck.
140mm in my back yard last night. Roads flooded already and no let up on the near horizon.
Take care, have your emergency plans ready to enact.

So odd to have these tornado warnings. Stay safe everyone. Definately not expecting it to be as bad as 2011, as long as toowoomba doesn't burst it's banks again anyway. Too many lives were lost due to that flash flooding.

The Burnett River is expected to be only 1 metre lower that the 2011 floods, by tomorrow. Lots of roads are closed, loss of power, been more tornados, bargara, burnett heads, coonarr and a couple of suburbs in bundy.
The wind is howling atm and is very loud. So far so good, here but feel for the poor buggas in the affected areas.
Was suppose to pick the OH up but the airport is closed and I can't go anywhere anyway as I'm cut off. Lots of roads closed.
Hope everyone stays safe.

I'm hoping we don't get the flooding in Ipswich that we got in 2011 because I'm in a new house, close to the Bremer River which comes off Wivenhoe, and at the moment I have no car here. Kids are at their dad's except one that just came home and I give him my car when he has the girls, and my eldest son is at friends for the weekend with his car.
I'm getting these warnings off my facebook feeds.
Toowoomba & Darling Downs Flood Photos & Info What to do during a tornado:
-Watch for greenish, dark sky, large hail, low rotating clouds, loud roar, similar to a train.
-Stay on the lowest floor, away from doors and windows and put as many walls between you and the outside as possible.
-If in a vehicle, try to get to shelter, try to get lower than roadway, and cover head with hands if stuck.
... -Get to low flat ground. Avoid sheltering under overpasses and bridges.

General Update: So far we're aware of 5 tornadoes this afternoon and a possible 6th. The risk of more remains. Several towns are being evacuated and many areas are experiencing flash flooding.

Kayza is that Riverwood estate? I live there too but I've been on a cruise this week and was wondering how its been there! Everytime it rains there's that little bit of panic that sets in! Definitely can't wait to get home and make sure everything is ok - worried about driving with the kids in this weather on the highway though. I'm sure we'll b ok kayza 🙂

Soul! I forgot you were up that way too, hope your area continues to be safe. Poor OH, horrible position to be in.
I just got a call to cyclone proof my yard (OH away) and then go do the same at my daughters house. They must have forgotten I am nearly 60 and don't do physical labour?:8}
Kayza and otoli, hope your house stays dry too.

Susy do you have a link so I can view these too? We're flooded into our property, creek is now a very fast flowing river and rising quite fast. We've dragged our caravan up as high as we can get it and have loaded it with water, food, etc. so all we have to do is get the animals in it. Hopefully it's high enough.
