Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.
Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.
So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.
Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.
And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.
Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

Last night had dinner at the Local, Rissoles, mash potato and peas.
The chef piled the plates, probably because it was a quiet night.
Wife & I were the only ones in the dinning room and maybe 6 others in the place.
Sunday night had the roast and again it was quite.
Took the photo last night.
Friday night was our "make your own pizza" night.
Have one of these on a regular basis with some friends.
I made a large Raspberry cheese cake with cream & Raspberries on top.
Large enough to get 24 slices.
Friends took half of it home.

Kopes, Fridays & Saturdays it is busy, the rest of the week can be quite.
The club is located in a small street that is between two main roads, and can be easily missed if driving past.
Best part is, it takes about 10mins to walk there and about 3 mins to drive.

Aww, Trav, Kopes had a try, but is too much of a gentleman to insist.
The word is quiet, as in not busy or loud, not quite.
Sorry, but I'm not a gentleman
Hubby took me out to a new place last night.
Won't go there again. Too expensive and his 'rare' steak was actually raw.
I had Gnocchi with Napoli sauce. Plump soft pillows, but again too expensive for
something that had no meat.

Oh yer !!
Would you and Kopes both believe that it was deliberate error on my part, to see that you were paying attention.

Some really nice eating going on back there! ......
Tonight I've made us cluttered rice with semi rescued vegies (majority button mushrooms) ... all hurled together into the pressure cooker with various seasonings, all carefully unmeasured out of course ...
Sometimes you just have to toss what there is into the nearest receptacle and switch it on and then hope for the best don't you?

Well it's Friday again and everything is back to routine and schedule ... ... so of course, after a couple of weeks, it has to be 1.2 sausages each and some nice oven backed chips and a little flopper salad hidden in the refrigerator that has to be used up!
However, to make up for lost time, there will also be a hastily constructed pineapple upside down cake with a twist >>>> I won't turn it upside down, thereby making it a non inverted special 'thing'
One helpful suggestion I have to offer for this week though >> always make sure the lid is on properly before shaking up something in a jar ....

Yep and don't let the pot boil dry when boiling eggs.
Making chilli bean on rice tonight.
Onion, garlic, pomodoro, mince, red beans, lentils, red caps, mushies and chillies.

Last night we went to dinner for our Monday night 100 pointer at our old club, only to be told they have stopped doing it.
They have contracted out the meals and the roast we had was terrible. The meals are no longer cooked on site.
Unlikely we will be going there again.
My wife sent them an email when we arrive home, and expresssed our views on the poor quality of the food.
The only upside to the night was my wife pulled $80 out of a pokie (and I lost my tenner).
