The All New Tas - What's for Dinner Thread - & - Don't Get Uppity.

Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.

Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.

So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.

Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.

And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.

Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

Ok thanks, will try them.

Mum usually likes something different and I don't have a good ribs marinate recipe.

Good evening everyone xx

Tonight it was curried chicken (compliments of Clive of India) and Basmati rice.  Amazingly, I didn't put too much of Clive into it so it balanced out quite nicely without severe tongue or throat scorchings!

I've been scrolling back, and oh my, such delicious things going on in here.  Especially those pastry things with the chocolate icing on top ... I made some choux pastry once (once being the operative word) and once was enough because it ended up as 'shoe' pastry, tough as leather .... Smiley Indifferent

Something really quite magic about eclairs isn't there .. yummers!

Back later ...  Heart

It was worth having dinner at my old club,

My wife had steak & pepper sauce, salad & chips. I had chicken schnitzel with pepper sauce salad & chips.

Then pokies, we played different machines, $10 each, and left 45mins later with our $20 plus another $90.

Got to eat for nothing and left with more money than we went there with.

Was well worth it, and will return next Monday night. Smiley Very Happy

Now time to relax.

To the Choux pastry cooks.

I placed a profiterole in the freeezer for couple of days. I wrapped it in some glad wrap.

I took it out this morning, let it thaw and is just like it was when I put it in the freezer.

It had the chocolate on top but no cream.

I had to eat it, just to be sure.

Freeze away ..Smiley Very Happy

Nah, Trav.

Too much standing in one spot stirring.

Can't manage that just yet.       Reminder - fractured ankle here.

I've been meaning to make your slice, but the printer is out of ink, so gave up on that for now.  Can't be bothered writing it down the old fashioned way.

I reckon I could make that sitting down.
