Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.
Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.
So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.
Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.
And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.
Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

We ate too last night .... finished off Clive's chicken but added some sweet corn, peas and broccoli (which I carefully hid under the rice so Mr. Tas didn't realise he was eating it ..
Tonight it's shepherds pie with a garden salad and then some home made sorbet (blueberry).

Not all nights are club ones.

last night was rump steak and chips .... DD loves steak and they dont have it much at the inlaws
important for a young woman red meat , they need more then men but men usually get served more
our DD eats a big meal but is still lovely and slim , shes not a big 'treat' food eater

Good afternoon Tas.
Just letting you know I will be a bit late for dins tonight.
Thought I would stop off at Kopes - he seems to have a great menu also.
Be there for dessert - he never mentions it.

I'm still scratching my head over 'important for a young woman red meat , they need more then men'
How so?
Daughter is a vegetarian. Never been anaemic. Has had 4 kids with no problems.

Growing up we rarely had dessert so it's just carried on.
I much prefer savoury than sweet.
Besides you might get some real Canadian maple with your dessert on the Apple Isle.
Looking at doing Mongolian beef on the weekend and have a tip for anyone doing Chinese stir fried beef.
How to tenderize -
Whisk an egg white with a little corn flour, rice wine, salt n sugar.
Then coat your thinly sliced topside or flank completely in mixture and cover in fridge for one hour.
Then put meat pieces in boiling water for a minute or two.
Now the beef is ready for cooking in the stirfry. (Not too long or it will dry out)
And remember while you're cooking to drink sensibly........................ don't spill any.
Edit - stawks, she must be getting plenty of iron from other foods.
I also think it was more relevant years ago, smoking depletes iron, drinking depletes iron as well as once a month.
So if all three were in a womans lifestyle, iron deficiency was common.
