The thread to complain about everything you don't like about the Photo challenge/chat threads

I don't usually bother posting on the threads complaining about the photo thread ..

but i do think dskracing and lionrose's posts deserve a green tick !!

the whole carry on over the photo thread right from the beginning has been unnecessary !

joe .. i do agree that on the music thread we discussed things about the  rules etc

as we went along and you made changes till you got it right !

but look at how we all spoke to each other ..like ..what do you think about this or that ..

ideas where thrown around ,basic manners were used ..

pimpy didn't get manners imo ! she got rude posts and demands !

all the carry on took the shine of the thread for her ..

shouldn't have happened !

even reading back through this thread come on people ..be a bit more polite !

None of the complaints, rants are personal, especially not towards the posters that run the challenge - pimpy, roserobin.
I think everyone appreciates them, especially Pimpy who introduced the Photo Challenge thread to CS.

I think some people are better to have a little rant , have their say but keep posting photos anyway. That's better than people who just drop off from posting photos because they get a bit frustrated about some issue.

This thread is a complaint thread. Expect complaints. 🙂

am i don't have a problem with what had been said ..

but in allot of cases its the way things were said !

why any one would want to rant over a photo thread astounds me !

bit of  civil communication would get people a  lot further then a rant imo !

But that is not the case Am3...people DO take them personally.....look at all the drama over something as simple as who won the Where's wally challenge?

And Joz the amount work involved has increased exponentially since you tallied the votes for two weeks. Apples and oranges...

That is one example... There have been approx 47 challenges so far. Others could see the organiser had nothing to answer for.

The fact is there are too many people posting now for democratic opinions to be sought on every little change in the running of the thread/challenge.

It is evolving every week and it is consuming a lot of people's time,

kinda goes against the idea - the notion of getting off one's butt.. get out there and smell the roses, when it only entices net junkies to came back online to post their piccys, doesn't it?!

just counting up and working out the winners each week can take a few hours. As I said I did it for a week and I greatly admire Pimpy for her fortitiude and Roserobin for agreeing to do a repeat performance.

i did it for 2 weeks and it's a piece of cake. it's as complicated and time consuming as one wants to make it

If Rose and Pimpy choose to make an alteration to how the thread is run or over how many threads then I think they are well within their rights.

I am not going to argue the point  with you any further Am3....you have posted your concerns on the the chat thread...I have chosen to post them elsewhere....I am not going to list every example, of which I am sure you are well aware due to your longevity on the thread, I am not in the game of naming names and I have tried to be fair in my responses to everyone. There are lots of things that bug me but I don't feel the need to post every single time.

The fact of the matter is that the people who are running the threads ARE taking all the comments to heart, as are some of the newer participants...if everyone is so appreciative of Pimpy running the challenge...how about you show her by making life easier....not harder?
