I love raspberries.

My last trifle was made with raspberries and fresh berries but why are they so expensive at Christmas?

My mum made baked rice pudding , junket (ew to both) , fruit based puddings when I was a child. Simple food to fill up hungry kids. We lived on a farm so didn't need to buy meat or milk. Grew veges and had some fruit trees.

Same Lurker.  Blerk to apricot chicken but apparently it is making a comeback.

I like pork with apple sauce though and I love apple and cheese together.

Blerk to trifle, yuck, yuck, yuck..

I have blueberries at the moment. Kilos of frozen ones.  They are so good heated in microwave with a touch of sugar then tipped onto ice cream.

No recipe Az, but I've heard of them being made with apple juice instead of sugar ...

The ones I have located all have too many ingredients in them.

How about this? I don't use Splenda myself ... would it work for you?

Thank you, I will check into the splenda. That one looks easy but not sure if they do substitutes other than dextrose. ๐Ÿ™‚ I might give that one a test run!

I've got 3 different recipes that are yummy. Chilli Jam.....I like this with fish but I have a friend who eats it on toast. about 6 ripe tomatoes 2 tbls olive oil 2 tbls red wine vinegar 2 tbls fish sauce 2 tsps crushed garlic 6 tsps chopped chilli 2 tsps chopped ginger 1 tsp tumeric 2 heaped tbls brown sugar combine all ingredients in a heavy based saucepan....bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. pour into clean glass jar and store in fridge.
