WHO WOULD PREFER TO SEE ALL POLITICAL THREADS RELEGATED TO THEIR OWN THREAD IN 'CONNECT AND SHARE'?

Political threads have their place in social media but I do not think 'Community Spirit' is the place.

The vitriol and nastiness some of these threads engender, leading to claims of interpersonal posts, removal of posts and frequent locking of threads all damage any Community Spirit which previously existed.

Freedom of speech is to be applauded but the current rash of political threads is 'infecting' the spirit of the Community Spirit board.

Does anyone agree with me?

Would anyone else be prepared to communicate with the moderators requesting consideration of this suggestion?

I have.

Politics is an element of 'Community'

those most likely not to want it discussed now may be those pro this inept Government

I think it should be discussed but I can see how it has destroyed this board.

I don't come here often and when I do I am shocked at how much politics has taken over this forum. There use to be a great mix but now some people take politics into every thread... I will not mention names but this person has not been around long and has significantly changed the feel of this forum.

There use to be a lot of politics, yes I know, but now just about every single thread is politics and just about in every other thread politics takes over.

Re: WHO WOULD PREFER TO SEE ALL POLITICAL THREADS RELEGATED TO THEIR OWN THREAD IN 'CONNECT AND SHAR

Would you believe Australians have little or no interest in politics and who governs their country. At present, voting is mandatory and fines are given to those who don’t vote. There are only two political parties and politicians never break or deviate from official political lines and propaganda. Australians are trained to obey their government and never question what the government does and how they spend their revenues.

This mix of complacency is exactly what the Globalists need to achieve their agenda. They need minions who will not question and understand what the New World Order stands for. If an Australian mentions the term ‘Bilderberg Group’ or ‘New World Order’, they are labelled and conspiracy theorists and ignored. This attitude will never change and it’s the perfect environment for the Globalists to move in.

.....

In conclusion, the wolds most democratic, free and establishment resistant country is under attack and needs to wake up. Due to its populous having no interest in politics, it’s vast natural resources and geographic location, the Globalists and the New World Order need Australia to begin the next phase of deployment for global government and New World Order.

Wake up Australia, the Globalists are almost finished with the Americans and Europeans and now have you in their sight!

If they do that it will most likely cause more problems.

seriously, is this kind of thing really necessary. Now posters who haven't been around long will be wondering if its them. Reading back over the threads, (yes, i get bored when i can't sleep), political threads and nasty threads have been around for quite a while. The accusation of "some people take politics into every thread", I don't get it.

Recently there have been some silly threads (i like them) and sometimes i will post in them - is that bringing politics into every thread?

I start political and other threads and I won't be intimidated to stop, this isn't directed at anyone in particular but it has been attempted by some, total waste of time.

Re: WHO WOULD PREFER TO SEE ALL POLITICAL THREADS RELEGATED TO THEIR OWN THREAD IN 'CONNECT AND SHAR

Some people are just socially inept....no clue about social boundaries....social niceties....consideration for others etc.

I don't come on here much anymore....signing in to see a page over run by political threads reminds me of when signing in meant seeing a page full of red lipped sheep.

Can seem intimidating to some, especially when politics is brought in to other threads....rude, egotistical and boring for some.

I don't think a new sub heading for political threads is the answer.....the political posters (not all) just need to be a bit more considerate of others who use this forum for their social interaction.

and as usual, the post is not to anyone in particular....it's the silly way the forum is set up.

I think that the only way it can't be personal...is for posters posting here who aren't Australians living in Australia

sorry Donna, I picked the wrong post .^^That was for Love*today

I do think that there will be problems if political disccusions are moved NOW ...all things considered.

Re: WHO WOULD PREFER TO SEE ALL POLITICAL THREADS RELEGATED TO THEIR OWN THREAD IN 'CONNECT AND SHAR

I think a new board for all things political would be a very good idea. We would know where to find it should we so desire.

The Community Spirit Board lacks a lot of Community Spirit these days. I for one am sick of opening CS only to find so many political threads. People scroll past them but to what? I was thinking of all the funny and fantastic people that used to come here and now don't, can't imagine why they don't.
