WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

This abc news story has some tips for playing:

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This one I felt I had played okay so the 59 was disappointing but when I looked back, I realised I had used an extra eliminator very early on, always fatal, score wise, although in all honesty it is about the only way I was able to move on and solve more.

Spoiler
10ex.jpgIt took me a while to figure out #4 but I felt I had to give it a try to get something solved on turn 3.
#8 looked promising but apart from intro, it could have been tonic at that stage (or nitro, I now realise) and #1 I thought could be check or chewy. I didn't feel I had a sure fire answer, so 'pricy' it was.

I struggled a bit with this at different points, sometimes it seemed about as clear as mud.

It took me a while just to find one that seemed reasonably clear to solve.
Every time I looked ar #7, all that kept clanging through my brain was least and I could see that was not possible so I had to turn away. Then I had a brainwave, exalt. They have had that before, it is a word they like, I felt sure I was onto something there.

Then I came to a full stop near the end and used another eliminator-dumbo. At the time I was thinking crave/brace for #1, dummy/muddy for #4 and prove/probe for #6.

So I got there in the end but no glory.

Had  a slightly easier run with this.

I had a lucky moment in this. I was tossing up revel/repel for #4 but thought repel more likely, but I had (at that stage) #2 pegged as probably wooly and #5 as trove so exposing the P put me right on those two.
At the end on #8, it was either flush or blush, so I decided to just go for it and was lucky.
