What are the Evolutionary explanations for Dumb people?

Why are there so many idiotic people around? What evolutionary advantage do they bring out?

Ummmm, that's kinda my point. Evolution should really select out the idiots yet there're so many of them around. 

Despite the term "natural selection", Evoultion doesn't actually 'select' at all. It is simply a name given to the process by which, without artificial intervention, those individuals best suited to their environment survive in greater numbers than those less suited; and the process by which over millions of years,  species evolve to optimise their chances of survival under prevailing environmental conditions..

I suspect in a dog eat dog world, dumb people will probably die out. In a society we're in now with fairness and welfare it makes more logical sense to take adventage of that and do little and produce more off-springs.

That's a bit of a quantum leap. Are you suggesting that dumb people are, by definition, welfare cheats, or that welfare cheats are by definition, dumb?,

All of the above of course icyfroth! I'd add the food we eat. It's already known that some GM food causes problems with our immune system and has been linked to infertility in some women. There are a range of other health problems too. Now combine that with the chemicals and additives we have in the food, aspartame, anti-caking agents etc., and it's no wonder we're seeing this.

This one was resting comfortably FOR OVER 5 YEARS

There was absolutely no reason to drag it up again, just for you to blather on.
