What possible use would a frond-waving pool boy be if he COULDN'T peel grapes? Honestly......... some of you people have no idea.
This message comes from the cool ambience of Noosa where drinks are currently being served positively everywhere.
Marina.
what do the pool boys look like?
more importantly, what are they wearing?
Oh they're huge.......I don't actually recall what they were wearing.......
Marina.
what was huge?

I just mean that they are big, healthy, fit- looking boys! Standing around waving palm fronds and satisfying my every whim is not for the faint-hearted, I tell you - many (and we are way into double-digits here) have tried and failed........

Don't mention grapes.I've just grafted over 12,000 of them in the Hunter:-( Peel me a mango instead:-)
Spot, a few years ago when there was a grape glut, my social group got together and went to a vineyard, soutth of the Hunter.
All city slickers. ..
Over the next few weeks we picked the grapes and went through the whole process, finished with filling and labelling our bottles.
In our group was one of Australia's top female surgeons, an international banker, a wine expert, and a mob of wonderful others, and little me..
About 15 of us.
Everyone one of us agreed that it was one of the most enjoyable things we have ever done.
Just sharing the manual labour, the laughter, the education, and most of all....the reward.
I still have a couple of crates under the house.

I try to follow the recommendations ie
Generally the best temperature to set your air conditioning to is around 24 - 25°C in summer and 17 - 19°C in winter.
Sometimes I have it a degree lower in summer.
Ten years ago I would set the air con (ducted) to 22 degrees. Now, I am trying hard to get used to 24 degrees.....As I had heard that every degree under 24 adds another 10% to the bill........
I clearly live a deprived lifestyle, as I have no one to peal my grapes for me.........

I think I'm more deprived. I have an evaporative cooler on the roof (no air con for me)
Can't set a temperature on that one.
And no bleedin' grapes to be seen! Let alone pool boys to peel 'em for me
