Obviously the money has got to come from somewhere. Where do you want to take it from???

If you think a person can live a 'livestyle' on $250 a week (Newstart/dole) please tell us how.
Well some do don't they? Thats why they are complaining now, cause its not going to so easy to get?
This is what I was referring to:
Any money from the government is a safety net, not a lifestyle. You're really not meant to live on it. - they aren't meant to die on it either!
Please provide information on those who have died due exclusively (no food) to living on the dole provided for them when they don't have to do anything for it.

I think you should keep doing that. 🙂

I never understand the family a and b stuff either.
John Howard ( ex Liberal PM) would love to give you a rundown of it, him being the Father of FTB. Although he is appalled now with what Abbott/Hockey intend to do with it.

Well there you go.

Crystal, there are 9000+ unemployed in the Wollongong region (use that as an example, as I live there).
There are hardly any jobs available, very few advt for a city of that size... do the math.
There are, and if there isn't why aren't they trying to improve themselves?
There aren't enough jobs in many areas in Australia. How do yoy know there are?. Do you read Seek.com.au vacancies for the Wollongong area every day. If so, how long would it take to find work for 9000 people with the small no of jobs advertised on there ( most for tradespeople and Medical professionals as there are a shortage of them in this area).
An entry level job vacancy is very RARE.
Train, educate people all you like.. there are not enough jobs... once they have their qualification.. end of story.
Even though people like to say (without any knowledge or facts) .. there are plenty jobs out there... saying that doesn't make it reality.

under 30's.. no dole for 6 months
Even those under 25's who are eligible for Youth Allce for 6 mths out of 12, will have $47 less per week (18% lower income than now).
They only get a pittance as it is, take $47 off that.... I see people going hungry.
Any money from the government is a safety net, not a lifestyle. You're really not meant to live on it.
You are expected to live on it while looking for another job. How are they supposed to pay rent etc. between jobs?

I never claimed any have died ( yet, watch this space, who knows what the next year will bring)
Crystal on the other hand says beneficiaries are not supposed to live on the dole.

The problem with Australians these days, is they never plan ahead. They spend and spend and never put money away for the rainy days.

If anyone, speaking generally, hardly ever gets 'outside their own front door' and mingle with a wide variety of people, I don't expect they would have much first hand knowledge of what is really going on in this country.
