People will be hurt no matter what the budget is and who is ruling it.
Its life.I don't agree. This budget is particularly unfair on the elderly, disabled, low income earners, unemployed youth. Not just my opinion either, if you read the major news articles.
Sorry but I see this one no different to all the others and the response is the same, it doesn't change. People focus on what THEY are missing out on ect.
Can you tell me what the main points of the last Budget were please? Without looking it up.

@am*3 wrote:It isn't just personal experience if you know what goes on in your community/area.
If your area is acknowledged as having the 2nd highest youth unemployment rate in NSW.
If the local news is full of stories about cuts to TAFE courses & services ( no interpreters for deaf people now).
I do know what goes on in my area. You have TAFE there?

Hello, everyone.
This thread is getting a little interpersonal and hostile.
Could we please bring the discussion back to a less heated and interpersonal state?
Thanks!

Why wouldn't we? ( Have a TAFE, we have two). I don't live rural, but regional, 10 mins from a city that is just houses and not much else (so no jobs there.) and 30-40 mins from Wollongong city (depressed economically, no hope for it) which is 1-2 hrs south of Sydney.
Not that there is much left of TAFE, with all the cuts. Be interesting to see how the Govt gets all those lazy dole bludging youth on to courses.. learn or earn... when there isn't that many options or places per course.
What if one of these youth is deaf? oops., no TAFE for them.

The dole is not about "deaf kids" and I do actually have one. It's about able bodied people who could work or study if they choose to apply themselves. Or do the community programs, work for the dole. Oh, that's probably dirty words around here. Something for nothing seems to be what's owed.

I'm sorry, and you're here why? A discussion is taking place. This happens on forums. Just because some posters don't agree on what's being discussed does not mean a mod has to jump in, unless they've been invited. And how about you lot start saying who called you?

And no, most under 25s I know do not live at home. Some might return home for short periods of time but they don't still live there. In fact most around here if they want a decent job have to leave home to get one.
Nice we shared that. 🙂
Most under 25's I know either live at home, or in shared housing, with mates, friends. They get rental assistance, care packages from the parents. Just like living at Uni. LOL
The ones I know get no rental assistance at all. They don't even apply for newstart until they are absolutely desperate and have used all monies they've saved and maxed out any credit cards they might have.
It is very stressful for them.

They had credit cards? Under 25, no job? Okay.
