Why do people get personal?

When discussing topics that they have an opposing view to.

Re: Why do people get personal?

If the truth be known, the complainants are taking advantage of excessive political correctness and rules that enforce them.

There are people and groups who ambush other posters by pretending to be indignant over a comment which was made with no offence intended.

Some can recognise the ambush but not all, they become the victims of the ambushers who take delight in someone being entangled in their snare.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

With the obvious scientific comment (overlooked )  that man-made change is a few orders of magnitude greater and at a rate of change far in excess of any  change in natural history.

DY: "Why do people get personal"

I  thought the title  had echoes of  Poor Me Gillard and would thus resonate with the matriarchs,  anyway   it is more of a challenge attempting to teach SRBA some basic earth sciences (facts).

  • What man made change?  . Prove any change in climate is not natural variation......

Posting population graphs isn't exactly climate science.......giggle.....There is more to it than that...Woman Very Happy

I agree,  understanding them is also very important.

PS

The Scientific Method  does not  "prove",  but I have pointed that out  quite a few times before.

I have always indicated (a few times before)  that as climate is dependant upon  temperatures,  which are rising with CO2 level increases, I would expect our climate to change over time. However,  whereas CO2 and temperature are single easily measured/recorded entities  and climate  results from many interacting inputs/factors, variations  in climate need to be identified outside of natural historical climate variation  noise with an acceptable degree of scientific certainty , something I consider is well in hand.

Pepe that behaviour is constantly happening, and is practised by quite a few 😞

Re: Why do people get personal?

This must be some sort of a record Donna.

Did it really take you 4 months and 7 days to formulate a question?

Perhaps it got lost in the mail for that long.

Yes iI was referring to those people , to answer your question 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Why do people get personal?

at least donna does formulate the question. others play a game of entrapment (usually fails) in order to get a pre-determined answer .
