He's one of the few comedians that actually make me laugh. Robin Williams comes to mind as one of the popular ones I never thought were funny. As a person and an actor I liked him, but would have a blank look watching his shows.

I agree with the comedian about assault rifles. There's no need for them. As far as protecting your home with a gun....that was funny, but an exageration. If someone enters my property, I'll know. I have motion sensors and cameras. That doesn't include trying to get into my house without me knowing.

And before someone chimes in with the "you sound paranoid with all that". No. I have piece of mind and don't have to give it 2nd thought thanks to all that. I'll be adding a driveway probe and contacting my mailbox too. I had mail stolen here once already. I can have a snapshot sent to me every time the box is opened.

As far a guns...some places people need them, just like some of you in the bush. I read this story yesterday about a guy in Alaska. They NEED them. He walked 50 miles in 30 below temps! Crazy, and he could have been dinner.

Ivie said a .22 rifle would not be very effective against a moose or predator but said James “could have shot a couple of ptarmigans to eat” if he had to.

Law enforcement officials in Michigan said that they learned this week that an elected Republican official who had recently shot herself to death had been adjusting her bra holster when the accident occurred.

Earlier this year, St. Joseph Public Safety officers reported that 55-year-old Christina Bond had died on New Years Day from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her eye.

Although the full autopsy had not been completed, officials released new details on Wednesday.

“She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to. She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon,” St. Joseph Public Safety Director Mark Clapp said.

According to an obituary published by Florin Funeral Service, Bond joined the U.S. Navy out of high school, and served two terms as an active Military Police. She was an administrator for the Road to Life Church, and an “active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.”

The obituary described Bond as being “on FIRE for the LORD.”
