So, on Sunday morning i get a phone call from my sister telling me that my niece had just given birth to a baby boy.
She did not know she was pregnant. No one knew she was pregnant. She really had no pregnancy signs at all. She woke up in the night in agony, was rushed to hospital and was already 9cm dilated.
The baby is small but it still classed as a good size. At this stage bub is still in hospital as they have no idea if he is premature, so they want to keep an eye on him.
He doesnt have a name yet.
Usually you get 9 months to prepare for a baby, buy baby things, pick a name etc. My niece had about an hour to prepare for bub.
Its not completely un common for something like this to happen. I have read about things like this in magazines, but geez, i think my family has had enough WTF things happen to last a lifetime.

Im a great Aunty 🙂
Yes azure, this is the niece who had her first baby about a year and a half ago.
Niece had a rough time for a few years but has straightened herself out and has become a great mother to her daughter.
This is not an ideal situation. Not planned and not prepared for, but its happened and, well, with all my family has had to deal with, weve got to stick together and support eachother

Nice that she has straightened herself out. All babies deserve to be welcomed and loved. At least she will already have some baby stuff.:-x

I would expect that he would still be in hospital .He was only born yesterday wasn't he ?

Great Aunty it is.
Is it unusual for a second child to be born without the Mum knowing? Most to the stories in the mag, where the mother doesn't know she is pregnant is a first child.
A young womanthat lived on a farm with her partner, next to my Aunt & Uncle had one of these suprise babies, she was in a mag too. My Aunty said if she didn't know this girl, she wouldn't have believed it.
