Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

Here 'tis. No, I can't drawer it again LOL
I will colour it soon. I'm sorry, I can't get the white of the paper right with my camera so I've had to brighten it. I hope it's ok but my pics all look so dark on my pc at the moment. Not sure why because they look ok on the camera.

Joono, if you're worried about launching straight in with the paint you can get photocopies of your pic and do some roughs. You can play with the colours that way or just build up a bit more confidence before tackling the real thing.

Your drawing looks great joono......have fun painting it.
I enjoyed the program moonlight, will be sure to watch next week.
good idea cosmo........I think some printers accept the thicker watercolour papers now too ? Would be an easy way to practise painting, use images from colouring in books etc. An idea for those who don't think they can draw (eventhough I think everyone can...if they practise) !
Still haven't finished my big painting...have had a tummy bug since Wed night....blergh! Hope I feel a bit better tomorrow, really need some gastrolite to put back the minerals and need a few things from the supermarket....it's a bugga having OH away at times.

Thanks Cosmo. I did do another quick mock up and read about starting with the light colour with water colour pencils when they are blended. Otherwise it all looks the same.

Here is the original. Not mine.
I do love it because I read the books to my boys when they were very young.

You've done a great job joono ! You've managed to get variation in the depth of colour and it's "lively". By that I mean it's got life in it, it's not flat or dead looking.
I hope you're happy with the result? You should be !
