do you remember a time when it was a better place to live

I remember when news agents had a stand out the front

with Papers under a rock

You took a Paper and left the money on the stand

Now days they would steal the money, the papers and the stand

and throw the rock through the window as they were running away

Friday night fish and chips, or snag and chips for me, that does bring back memories

that's odd that so many people had fish and chips on Friday night

I thought that was an exclusive treat for our family

Didn't realise the whole of Australia was doing it LOL

For you glee BungFritz Appreciation Society

I have no idea about fritz.  We had luncheon sausage in NZ, although my South Island cousins caled it Belgium sausage I think.

We had fish & chips every Friday night as well.  I have always assumed it was because my family had a shop that was open late on Fridays, so mum didn't have time to cook dinner.

Re: do you remember a time when it was a better place to live

I remember watching an interview by Bert Newton of Kerry Armstrong and she mentioned in the interview that it was fish and chips and a headjob every Friday night and old Bert's eyes lit up and he said he wanted to go to her place next Friday. Bleep in place of colloquial expression for oral sex
