I just remembered. When we had an earache, mum used to put warmed salt into a sock so that we could get relief. I think some of the salt, inadvertently, used to filter through into the ear canal.

Thanks for posting that martini.....I didn't realise using oil could do that.

kilroy, I just remembered I've used apple cider vinegar, too. I used it around the creases of my nose and it helped.

I think I've tried lots of things lol......I don't know if what I get is excema/dermatitis etc but as a baby I had excema and I have asthma..they usually go together.

I tried thinking of what I'd eaten, to see if anything could be the cause but I can't see any one thing that may be the culprit. It is annoying and I've gone years without having it then it just starts.

I guess we're all different so different things work for each of us.

I have eczema at the moment, as a baby I also had eczema and asthma.......both cleared up when I was two. I am now in my 60's and I have both back.

The eczema is due to stress, which I have heaps of at the moment, I have tried everything over counter & what dr. has prescribed nothing works.

So, my brother in law is a qualified Naturapath/Chemist, he is going to make me up a potion, and hopefully it will work.

If it does, maybe going to a naturapath is the way to go, any thing is worth a try.

My grandson has eczema, real bad early on, tried every cream available. We have a salt water pool, once he started swimming in that it got much better as long as he swam at least a couple times a week, they have a salt water pool now and his eczema is so so much better.

I use a couple drops of vegetable oil in my ears to help the massive wax buildup I get, doesn't seem to cause any problems I can't use ear drops for various reasons.

Go and see a GP as soon as you can.
