This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Rainy and thundery, this morning.
I think I'll sit it out under the pergola, for now.
Yes, I think it's funny that when you went out the front, looking for me, because the storm was coming, I'd gone round the back, looking for you, to see where breakfast was.
At least we know what our priorities are.

I don't mind the rain, if it means I don't have to go lugging full watering cans to the obscure and otherwise unreachable corners of the garden, then it's something I can heartily approve of.
With one tiny exception.
The bird bath, which is not on particularly solid ground, anyway, is developing a lean, today. Not just a "She'll be right, whack a bit of wood under it once the rain stops", lean, but the kind of tilt that is causing me concern.
I'm waiting for the "crash" sound.
Every so often, the rain stops, teasingly, and pretty much right on the moment that I head out the door with my emergency bird bath support / propping up materials, it starts again.
I'm beginning to wonder if I should leave it until tomorrow, and let the chips fall where they may, or, in this case, the bird bath.
The immediate solution of "Get it upright and get something underneath it to level it" has a working lifespan equivalent to that of a gnat.
It needs to be pulled out, the ground levelled, and then set in place, properly (as I should have done, all those years ago, but the novelty of having a brand new bird bath overwhelmed the more common sense thought that getting it right, first time, was a good idea).
I've got the afternoon to think about it. Now to wait and see how many excuses I can come up with to avoid having to do any really hard work when it comes to doing the job properly.
