This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

I'll hazard a guess and say that Donny's back, for a while.
She's staying in the Brown house, under the eaves, with it's short bridge over to the pergola platform.
On her way out she discovered the hanging bird toy - it's wooden beads threaded onto a length of cord.
The birds had draped it over the pergola cross beam, and so it was conveniently placed to catch her attention.
Which it did, ha ha.
Oh look, she says, cupping the bead with her paw, I can bite this, this is fun!
Then she paused, and I'm sure I saw the thought cross her mind - What was I doing...? Oh, that's right, breakfast....
Off she scampered.
It's good to see the toy getting some use, ha ha.

Donโt go shopping with the possum.
โRaisin toast!
Cafรฉ style, I like that, and this one has fruits and grains, sounds interesting, we should get it, and whatโs that oneโฆ?
Briocheโฆ
Briocheโฆ
As in โLet them eatโฆโ?
It wasnโt Marie Antoinette that said that, or probably anything like that, she said.
A reference to that expression appears in the autobiography of the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and his autobiography came out in 1782, seven years before the Revolution.
Itโs more likely he was referring to Princess Marie Therese, the wife of the Sun King; Louis XIV.
It reads something like โ I remembered the solution suggested by a great princess who was told that the peasants had no bread and answered: โThen why donโt they eat brioche?โ.
Talk about cut and paste, or perhaps paste, and cut your head offโฆโ.
I really donโt know where she learns these things, ha ha.

Sunday 10.30pm and I'm looking up Brittanica and learning of the origins of an English translation of a well known statement.
Possums dietary requirements are disturbing my pre-slumber routine, ecar![]()

And with that, I will soon retire with my DH Lawrence The Rainbow

I was with Donny and Takeaway when they were having breakfast this evening and Donny said "I know a joke about gem cutting, want to hear it?".
Takeaway very sternly said "Uh, uh, uh... I've already said No to lapidary humour, young lady...".

Possums and cockatoos rule!!!!
It's a beautiful day here today; at last the sun is shining after a day of wild wind and rain. The poor tradies installed our new garage doors yesterday and they didn't seem to mind getting sopping wet, twice, one bit ... they just ploughed on to got the job done in three hours exactly, bless them all; that's dedication for you!
Good morning to all ..... ![]()
Today I'm thinking I'll jump in the car and go where it takes me, do a little grocery shopping, visit a couple of friends then come right back and keep going with yet another new Christmas art quilt; after all, Christmas is coming ... ![]()
Have a most splendid day everyone xxx
