This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Takeaway gets up and makes it about a third of the way along the bridge from the house before she missteps.
She pauses a moment, and starts off, again.
The culprit, as I can see, is a long, wiggly, hairy little tail, twisting and turning as though it has a life of it's own.
She gets to the big bridge, and sits down on the platform where she nuzzles the tail, and there's a little bit of prodding with a paw...
That's not working...
Out pops little Pyrex, who takes all of three seconds to decide that no, the big world will have to wait, before crawling back in, under Mum, and back into the pouch; neatly tucked away, this time, so there will be no more tails being stepped on, ha ha.
Of course, Takeaway sat herself on the side of the platform closest to me, and faced away from me, so that all I saw was some grey fur, and possibly an ear.
I'll see the little one when she's ready, and not before.
She's the mum, she makes the rules, ha ha.

Yesterday the weather man was saying rain, and then more rain, and then more rain to top that off, was on the way today.
I was awake at about half past three so I checked the radar and the rain band was was ten minutes away.
That's a coincidence, for you. Ha ha.
It rained, through the morning, but then the sun came out about half past ten, so apart from a soggy garden, and a collection of soggy birds, everyone seems to have made it through.
I've got one of those "folds up into a neat little attached pouch raincoats" that I picked up, ages back, and while I can't fault it for keeping the rain off, I do think, pretty much every time it rains, that I should get myself another one.
Something a bit a bigger, longer in the body, maybe, something a bit sturdier.
Or maybe it's just an excuse for me to browse the outdoor/militaria shops, ha ha.
There's something amusing in looking at rainwear that costs more than I spend on petrol, in a month, or two months...Ha ha.
The trouble I find is that the styles, the designs that I like either come in lurid colours that would make me look like one of those hippie trekkers in Nepal, or they come in camouflage colours, and I'd look like I'm pretending, unconvincingly, to be a tree.
I like to apply the "Would I wear it public" test, and so far, I haven't had that much luck.
It seems like if you want to stay dry, you've either got to look like you're trying to find yourself, or lose yourself, ha ha.

I need something with a hood, and that seals off at the collar, because I find I spend fair bit of time with my head titled back - screaming abuse at the Heavens; "Make this Stop!!", ha ha.
It has to be "short" enough to wear in the car, too.
Quick and easy to get on is not just an advantage, but can be a necessity - I don't generally have time on my side if I get called out - "The drain blocked"... "When did you notice that it wasn't emptying properly?"... "About the time that it took me to count to six as the water rose above my ankles...".
Helping with minor flooding emergencies, in suburbia, I'd always hoped there'd be so much more to my life, than this, ha ha.
