This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

It's my own fault for building the possum house so high above the ground...
I had to clamber up on the old plastic milk crate to take a quick look in the doorway...
There's about the last two inches of a black, hairy tail sticking out of the doorway.... ha ha.
The rest of the possum's hidden away in the corridor behind, sprawling on her back... ha ha.
I don't think any of us saw it being quite this warm, this afternoon, or the black, hairy tail would most likely be poking out of the doorway over in the other possum house, under the trees, in the garden, where it's cooler, ha ha.
Well, at least I know there'll be one taker for breakfast, ha ha.
Two, if I count the pregnant girl.... she's just coming in to her second month...
She's not really, really big, yet, but she's definitely beginning to show... ha ha.
There's a bit of life out there, even after the cockatoos have gone home, ha ha.

A holidaymaker in Devon (UK):
"I regularly watched a herdsman
driving cows from field to farmyard, helped by a
large collie called Max. One day, I saw the man driving
the cows as usual, but without the dog.
If a cow strayed, however, he still called out,
"Fetch her back, Max," and the offender invariably
moved back into line.
"It's the dog's day off," he explained as he passed me,
"but the cows don't know that..."

We were cruising down the river and by chance we found a WiFi enabled kangaroo, so we took advantage of it being there and dropped you a line... ha ha.

All this at 2 in the afternoon...
Somebody possum decided that they were hot, and weren't happy with their choice of accommodation...
The obvious, logical (in a possum mind) thing to do is to bolt along the bridge from that house to the next house...
If it upsets the birds in the process, well, the birds will just have to cope... ha ha.
Upon arriving at the other house, eject the current occupant, but only after some vigorous and noisy wrestling ha taken place inside the house... ha ha.
The current occupant, in a state of "I've just been rudely awoken, wrestled with, and then ejected from my house" will seek out alternative lodgings...
Which will involve running along a bridge in the more or less open air, further upsetting the birds... ha ha.
But it would seem that for reasons unknown, the other lodgings proved to be unsuitable...
So, the dislodged, in so many ways, possum, it seems, ran back to the house that it was in, in the first place, and last seen was cowering in the doorway, looking both dislodged and disgruntled... ha ha...
Just when I was going to get up and make a cup of tea, too... ha ha.

Last time on Days of my possums... ha ha.
Someone was not in immediate peril of their life, perhaps at worst they were in mild peril of their dignity and comfort... ha ha.
The doorway was not necessarily designed to be slept in, but she looks fine, and I don't feel up to making things any more awkward, complicated or indeed difficult... ha ha.
So they can go about being possums in their own way, and I'll leave it at that, ha ha.
