This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

The crow came by this morning...
In fairness, he's an Australian raven, but as he says, a name's a name... ha ha...
We've been discussing his plan for a "Better" Birdbath... he wants me to drill a hole in the pedestal, and the base of the bath, and fit a garden hose into it...
"It's easy to fill...", he says... "All you have to do is turn the tap on, and when it overflows, turn the tap off...".
He's an engineering genius... ha ha...
I grumbled about the weather - hot day after hot day after hot day is taking it's toll... "How many more days of this will we have to put up with?", I asked him...
He looked at me, knowingly, and said... "Quoth the raven, several more...", ha ha.

Good afternoon lovely threaders xxxxx
It's been a warmish day here, but over on the mainland, it looks like heat from hell in some places, I don't envy you that .... ... even so, wish I was where it was snowing ...
So today, what have we been silly enough to be doing you may well ask? Actually >>> cooking ...
Much zucchini slice (someone gave us a bucket of them) ... bread for the freezer .... rice ... more bread ... zucchini bread then more zucchini bread (we have to make them disappear) .. then a kind of stew thing for dinner tonight plus some to put in the freezer ... then ice cream .... enough is enough!!!
Somewhere in between all that, we finished off a quilted wall hanging for the sunroom which has, by some cosmic miracle unknown to all religions, ended up fitting the space we prepared for it to start with in the sunroom ... the sunroom, by the way, has metamorphosed into a secondary sitting room for bipartisan life forms such as cats and humans .... the cats usually win in the stakes for the couch by the way ...
So, hope the summer is not making any of you too uncomfortable and that you will have cooler days soon.

There was a dragonfly out the front, earlier on...
I don't see them round here, that often.
I can see I'll have to make it a companion... ha ha.
I don't think that it was entirely a random event that the dragonfly dropped by... ha ha.
I think it wanted to draw my attention to the fact that the bird bath out the front is exposed to the sun, all day...
So I went and had a look...
I dipped my hand into the water and thought "There's that point where a cup of tea is Just Right to drink... and the water in this bird bath is just a little hotter than that...", ha ha.
Short of two or three water changes a day, I don't know how I'll get round that...
Of course I could just put the necessaries for tea making on a shelf next to it, and let the birds work it out for themselves...
(Quiet tapping on door... Opens the door to find a bird standing on the doormat, holding a part made cup of tea... "Can I get some milk?", ha ha.

It could be dangerous to go out there, in this heat...
Here, take these... ha ha...

I might not be alone in saying this, but I'm beginning to feel a bit tired of this hot weather...
Even the giant cockroaches seem to have moved on... it must be too hot in the house, for them.... ha ha.
In spite of their nagging requests, I haven't yet given in to the idea of setting up a lawn sprinkler... ha ha...
I know how easy it would be to get a plastic drink bottle, and punch holes in it, and attach a garden hose to it to make a rudimentary sprinkler...
But I'd have to go to the supermarket to get a bottle of drink, and it's just too hot for that... ha ha.
