what mispronunciation of words irks you?

aks is mine.......instead of ask.  Why can't people get that right and it is quite common, also picked up alot so I don't get why people can't say it correctly.

Whispering I used to work with Vietnamese males and there were lots & lots of funny things goin on with them understandin me and me them. Once a very funny convo went on with one of the lads saking me: "Hows your t*ts?" & it went on and on with me clarifying and blushing and he was actually askin "Hows your kids?"

yeah, accents can really throw you.  I remember a canadian guy once asked me if I wanted to go to a kafy house ??

No matter how many times he said it, it didn't make any sense to me LOL

finally worked out to be a coffee house.....why didn't he just say a cafe ? would have been easier !

No words really irk me but a friend always said cloves instead of clothes LOL

Hi ! all ..

it didn't irk me but thought I would share:

We had a garage sale and a lady asked me if I had any *beads for sale..

I said we have a couple of necklaces that she could pull apart and use the beads..

She looked very puzzled and said , No not beads .. beads like you slip on .. 

My thoughts were , why would you want to slip on beads !

Then another lady spoke up and said,

I think she is saying beds that you sleep on .. shes from NZ..

I felt so silly .. but we had a good laugh together ..   :^O
