what the?

what the hecks going on with blood tests?

so i have type 2 diabetes and get sent to have blood tests then a week later have a 'review' with a nurse and my doctor.

no problem there

but recently these tests, well not the acctual test, but the time i am forced to sit in a waiting area is just rediculous

my test takes about 5 minutes from the time im called to where im out the door heading home

last time i was waiting about an hour and a half, the longest id ever waited

today i waited an hour and a half and only 3 people were actually tested and left!

when i arrieved i took a number, 15

the first person called after i arrived was 7

they had reached 10 when i got angry and left!

an hour and a half to take blood from 3 people!

you have to be kidding!

btw, remember i was fasting, no food since last night!

and diabetic!!

Re: what the?

I can understand that.

You need to reference your previous posts to work out what your stance is/was? Most people would know what they had already posted and wouldn't need to quote their own 'thoughts' in order to justify further 'thoughts'.

No worries.

I also had type 2.  Did you know that it's reversible if you lose enough weight?  I lost 50 lbs by going low carb.  No more medicine or blood tests for me!  Smiley Happy

Too counteract the low carb loss feeling, did you eat a lot more meat? If so was that your main source of protein?

Yes, meat is the basis of low carb diets.  Meat, cheese, eggs, nuts, vegetables... little fruit, but most berries are fine.

Avoid most packaged foods, baked goods, starch, refined sugar.

It's a shame that certain people even well into middle age feel they have to be a troll. They do have my pity!

Anyway, back on to the subject. I hope that david can take charge of his healh and as was suggested by another member, he can reverse his diabetic condition or at the very least get it where it can be managed. Best wishes for that.

My mother's a diabetes so she "managed'' it by completely looking after her diet, & takes mineral supplements. so i don't think reversing it is the right term.

By the by, I simply changed my diet in January.. went on a health kick just for the hell of it and lost 15kg, ***pats self on the back

Signatures suck.

I do not have a stance or adgenda - I merely discuss post topics with the objective of clarifying issues , from the basis of incomplete information but with the desire to improve truthful understanding and so if required determine valid personal decisions
