i want to bid on several SMALL, LIGHT and COMPACT items from a Seller in UK ( I am in Australia). The items are related but free standing and are NOT "high value".   The Seller lists postage for each as via "Global Shipping Program" ( Repeat : Seller is in Britain, or goods are anyway..). I have asked the Seller if : combined postage" will be available for thses items, but the only answer is that goods will be shipped by "Global Shipping Program".   Now, the costs quoted to ship to Australia seem quite expensive one-by-one, but - presumably -  much less so if packages could be combined into a single package. As the items are SMALL, LIGHT and COMPACT ( about 200 playing cards, as a maximum), this seems like a reasonable expectation.    However, when I asked this question, the Seller has not responded except as above.   If I am able to expect "combined postage" I will have more $$ to bid, so I do not understand why the Seller can't explain his choice better. While other Sellers often include an offer to " combine postage", I understand that is not mandatory.   Any explanation most grateful. If a seller offers a combined shipping for buy it now items, do I pay the full price at checkout as that is automated and then ask for a refund later? How does that normally work. I'd ask the seller, but they are on the other side of the world and would be asleep right now. ... View more

Apparently you have to pay full international postage separately for every item you purchase from the same seller at same time. I want to buy 8 magazines from a seller, total price around 20 bucks. Padded flat rate envelope to Australia around 35 bucks. However GSP doesn't allow it. So I would have to pay about 240 bucks postage instead of 35 to get them all shipped individually! And from what I hear they often arrive together anyhow so it's a total scam which rips off both the buyer and seller.   What is going on eBay and GSP? ... View more

I analysed my sales (collectibles) and saw that in most of them the post shipping fee  (which seller pays to ebay) equal to postage fee which is shown in listing and paid by buyer. Who should pay for handling? It is seller's responsibility and especially in individual items of collectibles and requires definite expenses (special  box size, bubble and packing paper  etc). Postage was calculated to my postcode on the auction site, i won the auction paid immediately through paypal and then the next day i get an email informing me I wold be reinvoiced and charged an extra $4 postage. I won an item on auction, the item is listed as 'Pickup only' however, I contacted the seller prior to bidding asking why they were not willing to mail the item, they reassured me that they would post. This will save you time, and may result in fewer buyers questions and higher detailed sellers rating Customer asking why have he not received the product & asking for a tracking number. I have checked my customer purchase history it showed me that the product was sent on 16/01/2015 as requested  My ? is am I responsible for the tracking number as I am stumped at the moment.
