Sellers in the UK have part of their charges an import charge,and it's a lot of money. It worded like a government charge All it is a US postal service set up in the UK sticking a customs declaration on the parcel no more than what you do at the post officeThere's an option for the seller to opt out when listing but easily missed or just misinterpreted for novice sellers. So now you get a postage charge,a dubious import charge plus Australian GST. eBay how much do they get from this so called postage service ? It's a good way of killing business from overseas purchasers.

I've sold an item recently and when I logged into my PayPal account it says the funds are on hold until the 19th of August. I sent the package off on Wednesday the 8th of August and provided a tracking number. Shouldn't that have made the funds available? It was Item number 173451016065. Tracking number was R239679014743512006120909. Giving that verification should make the money available immediately, after all, people don't sell on eBay to get paid 'eventually'. I would like those funds released, please. Thank you.

I have bought an item, happy with that, but why does the Invoice have a line called "US Import Charges"? The item is not being imported to US. It is being sold out of US. Where does Import come in?

Hello I recently sold my first item on Ebay The buyer paid me via paypal with their credit card. Paypal emailed me to say I have to sign up for a business or premier account to claim this money since it was paid with a credit card. is this true? I can see the funds are on 21-day hold (which I gather is normal for new Ebay sellers) but I express posted the item anyway. Will I eventually get my money if I leave my paypal account as personal?

I aways print out my end of month statements so that I have a hard copy of everything. However I am unable to get into Paypal because they want me to change my password . Just going round in circles confirming pass word then proving I am not a robot and can read numbers and letters. then still will not let me in to my account. Help! very frustrated

How come Ebay charges Gst on postage from another country. When that seller purchases shipping/postage in their country they have already paid their tax.

Every time I buy something on eBay and check out, credit card is ticked as payment option. I have set in PayPal that my preferred online payment option is PayPal and not credit card. What do I need to do in eBay to to have PayPal as preferred payment method?

I bought an item and immediately paid via paypal. I hadnt noticed the seller had requested cash on collection. The seller then advised that ebay had requested paypal withhold payment for twenty-one days. For me this is unheard of....................surely I should have been advised by ebay if there was/is a problem. The seller is trying to get to the bottom of it.

Clicking on the paynow button leading to pay pal for payment but receiving the message: network error. You must connect to the internet to use this application. Yet I can go into paypal directly and make payment no problem. Paypal says its ebay. Is it?

Recently, I mad some purchased on ebay. Normally I paid the payment by credit card through Paypal. Anyway, one of the trascation was $7.90 and It was clearl shows $7.90 on the paypal windows. When I checked my credit card statement and I realize there was a international trascation fee of $0.19 or $0.29. I had been paid extra $3.50 for two transcations. I puchased item on ebay for several years and the fee seems start after 1st of july. Is interational transcation fee is normal? Any advise that I can avoid the situation in the future? If I paid by bank transfer, will I need to pay the extra fee such as internation trascantion fee? Thank you.

Customer Support, The seller of item number 172812119667, issued a return action, in a recent dispute i have had with them for suppying a used or refurbished product instead of a new product being advertised by them. The seller has refunded only the product amount. He has mentioned nothing about if faulty item he wants retuned? Or i just keep it, and throw away in bin, and the matter is finished? I bought an item and it was not as described in the description. The seller said to return the item to him first, and then he will pay for the return postage cost. I asked the seller to send me a postage label but he refuses, he just wants to reimburse. Is this the best course of action, or should I insist for a postage label.

Over the following days I received confirmation emails from five of the supplier informing me that the orders were being processed or had been dispatched. All five were processed through PAYPAL Upon checking my bank statement there is a sixth supplier, SCP NSW PTY LTD, MIRANDA, from whom I have not received any contact information ,yet $320.00 has been taken out of my account. This is not satisfactory, as I am new to buying on Ebay and have no way of establishing who the supplier is that has debited my account, yet that supplier, has not emailed me to inform me just which goods they have cheaged me for. How do I address this to Ebay ,whom presumeably placed the order with SCP NSW PTY LTD, MIRANDA, on my account. Frank W

In the past when I bought stuff on ebay AU using a credit card, all the transactions showed as PayPal AU. However recently I noticed that some of them came up on my statement as PayPal HK, and I was charged a foreign transaction fee, although the price was in AUD and some of the items were even located in Australia. The thing that I find annoying is there seems to be no indicator of whether a transaction will be processed in AU or HK - I can't see any connection to the item location or the seller's country of registration. Some items located in China have been processed in Australia and vice-versa! It would be nice to know this, so that I don't get surprise fees when I look at my CC statement!

If you link your Gumtree account to Paypal does your payment also get held by PayPal for 21 days or does this only apply to eBay sales?
