Hi All.. I have been using eBay for a long time and have not had an issue as yet! I bought 10 large drink bottles from China, from a 'Top-rated Seller'.   Instead of these drink bottles I have received 6 very stange minion toys (?!). I have just sent the seller a message querying and to rectify. However I do not have my hopes up in receiving what I ordered!   My question is what the next step would be to get my money back - and I do not want to post the minions back and rely on their confirmation of receipt to get a refund!   thank you! ... I received an email from ebay stating that my recent transaction may be from a compromised account. It says that the item has been removed from the site and the transaction cancelled, but I had already paid for the item. It was suggested that I immediately contact my payment service used to request a refund. I have sold items and paypal are holding my money for 21 days even though the buyers have left positive feedback. ebay have taken their cut, paypal have taken their cut and I have paid for delivery. I'm not a regular seller and so have "yet to meet eBay's selling and PayPal's risk standards." My sales were paid for on 9th December, with estimated date for funds availability being 28th Dec. I've met all the requirements for speeding up release of funds such as tracking, etc. 2 of the sales have now been received by buyer who has left positive feedback. In my listings I offered to combine postage for multiple items purchased. A buyer purchased 2 items & paid immediately with PayPal, resulting in 2 postage amounts being paid.   As the combined postage for both items is almost the same as for one, I would like to refund the difference...even though the buyer did not ask for it. I don't wish to overcharge anyone & want to be scrupulously honest about this.     The refund should be about $10. The post office let my parcel go into a lower weight category than I expected, so i want to refund the customer the difference between quoted and actual postage price. Is there a way to do this without getting charged paypal fees, (or is it legal to say the amount is for a gift)? Twice recently, brand new members (0 feedback) have won bids; then contact me saying they are having problems with their PayPal and can I provide my bank account details so they can make a bank transfer. I'm a new seller and this worries me, is it foolish to disclose BSB and Account Number? How do others handle this? If a seller offers bank transfer as payment method does the buyer usually see those details? Or am I worrying about nothing? ... View more

Hi all,   I purchased some items (miniatures) via ebay on 19/2/15 and paid a total of $150 plus $34.05 in postage via paypal. I have been contacted today by the seller to pay an additional $13.50 on top of the already paid sum to cover extra postage costs (as it went into a bigger box or something).   The initial request:   Hi, I just posted the Warhammer games. I put them in a box to protect them and the postage was $47.55. I would hope you would pay the difference as you paid less than $30. I will invoice you for the difference on PayPal. Cheers   I searched through ebay and it appears I do not have to pay additional postage from what was on the listing, I replied:   Hi, Thank you for posting everything so promptly, though I do not wish to cover the difference as the $34.05 that was listed as postage should have covered everything?   I then received a reply:   Hi, To protect the games I put them all in a box, rather than risk an expandable tough bag. As a result of this the dimensions were calculated by Australia post on a cubed rate. I had no idea there would be a difference. I do not believe I should have to bear the cost for taking extra care with your purchases. I never charge for packaging only the Australia post charge. How do I get rid of a cancelled item from my purchase page. It adds itself to whatever I'm trying to pay for, whenever I buy something new,.   By mistake I bought something twice.  The seller was happy to cancel it as it was a genuine error. But it still sits there on the page where I try to pay with Paypal, and adds to the amount.
